It locates in 7 min walking way from Parlament, on a big and noice street but, you will not feel the stress from outside in that caffe haus. There are 2 floors there. they have big choice on cakes. One peace costs around 750 FT (2,5 euro). Coffee tastes ok, not the best but not the worths one as well.

Many times was a good check point with friends. Nicely designed, comfortable for longer chats, excellent cakes. Recently a home made "mille follie"(cream cake) was enchanting. All caffés are very good. Excellent service. It is open until 20 pm.

My wife and I stepped in for a coffee on our way home. As always friendly and smiley people, and very good service. We had our coffee, not waiting long, and it was all pleasant and nice. The kavehaz itself is worth a visit, tradition in the walls, clean and sober, and a special experience to other kavehaz around. Recommend... More

Popped into here for a coffee on our first day in Budapest, found it served terrific coffee and marvellous cakes, really tasty. A quick look at the menu showed it also served breakfast which was great as our hotel was so expensive. We had tea, which comes with a sachet of honey and a slice of lemon, very different from... The place looks very nice and the service is good. Several waiters seems to be on rota which helps the flow even when the place is busy. Coffees are not bad but the very weak point are croissant/ pastries and delicatessen that do look good indeed but they are not as tasty and fresh as in other places.

Historical place, tasty dessert, good coffee, nice people. The Europa Kavehaz has not changed since my childhood. I always love to visit when I go home.

I usually try not to be very severe with reviews but I could't find a reason to go back there: - if you get a cone ice cream, is only on the go, you can't sit there - we got a chocolate mousse (which was very heavy) and an Hungarian cream sweet called Rigo Jancsi which was sour (and it... More

When we lived in Budapest The Europa was a regular stop for us. So on this visit we went back, we were not disappointed the cakes were still as good as ever, great service and coffee. The decor still retained the old Hungarian style and locals still read the daily newspapers as they have for decades. A good stop just... More

We came in here for ice cream - they only do sundaes, not individual scoops, so we had to pay for the more expensive sundaes, but I am glad we did, as they were delicious! I had massive chunks of chocolate in my ice cream, mmmm! As we had some time to kill I then ordered some tomato soup and... More
