With previous reviews we weren't sure what to expect, but what a fabulous meal! True, the decor isn't great, but who cares with food this good?! Great service, friendly staff and very tasty Indian food.

We had amazing food there but had to wait too long for food. Probably because it was pre New year's eve. On the other note, food was really great. It was made in authentic manner. If you like grilled food then this is the place for you.

Not a place you would come upon if on the tourist trail but seek out and enjoy. Great service ( efficient but not intrusive ). Marvellous food in a pleasant environment..

We are a constant returning customer to this amazing restaurant. Their food has been constant for all over the year since we moved in Budapest. We have been constantly ordering to home until it became our favourite restaurant even though we aren't even Indian, the food has captured us! The place itself is nice and the manager is a very... Great menu including many many choices for vegetarians. Doesn't look great on outside but inside is clean and well presented. Food was excellent. We had two paneer dishes that were delicious and generous. Nice poppadoms with very spicy pickles. Great onion rice. Disappointed not to see peshwari naan, but there was a very similar one with nice dried fruits. Very... More

An excellent meal, well described and of high quality. Staff helpful and informative "one portion of rice will be plenty for two), and good value. We checked on Tripadvisor and were not disqppointed, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Very well located in the Cathedral (which is very often a place for "tourist traps", this restaurant is a good place. The dishes were tasty (a little too spicy for my wife who ordered a veggie one but I try and it was really good). I chose the chicken with a sauce with spinach and mint : it was delicious.... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
