Great menu including many many choices for vegetarians. Doesn't look great on outside but inside is clean and well presented. Food was excellent. We had two paneer dishes that were delicious and generous. Nice poppadoms with very spicy pickles. Great onion rice. Disappointed not to see peshwari naan, but there was a very similar one with nice dried fruits. Very... More

An excellent meal, well described and of high quality. Staff helpful and informative "one portion of rice will be plenty for two), and good value. We checked on Tripadvisor and were not disqppointed, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Very well located in the Cathedral (which is very often a place for "tourist traps", this restaurant is a good place. The dishes were tasty (a little too spicy for my wife who ordered a veggie one but I try and it was really good). I chose the chicken with a sauce with spinach and mint : it was delicious.... More

We had a lovely indian dinner at Salaam Bombay in Budpest. The interior design is modern and cozy. The service personel were informative, friendly and with a professional behavior. The food was really good, but it could have been a little more spicy, I mean they try to make the food to be OK with westerners a little bit too... More

The Indian food was really nice. We were vegetarians and they had enough options. The Kashmiri Naan which is a little sweet is worth trying. Very Different and goes well with the Spicy Indian food. The staff was polite and helpful including the Owner who was very generous. Also, its located in the inner city area, the main tourist area... More

We had a great, authentic dinner there. For me it wasn't the first time, nor the last one! I like the indian cuisine, so Salaam Bombay is always a good choice. Service was good, we didn't have to wait too long to get our dishes. The restaurant, inside was modern, not traditional. Toilets are downstairs, it should be cleaner, but... More

With my family I visited this restaurant on sunday due to the "Week of Restaurants offer". Ambient: when we sat down, looking around, we could notice on every corner of the ceiling a big amount of spiderwebs, on the floor, under our table, pieces of food of previous guests, human hairs and other kind of dirty stuff. The general interior... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
