Great location across from the river with a view of the Parliament and the Chain Bridge depending where you're sitting. We had schnitzel which we loved. Casual relaxed setting, pleasant staff, reasonable prices & good hearty food. Definitely recommend.

We spent a long weekend in Budapest. We stayed in Art'otel Budapest, near from this restaurant. We were 3 times in this restaurant for a lunch or dinner. Very good local food, not complicated but delicious. Staff friendly, but not too much. Good choise if you want to eat delicious and stay in budget frame.

A Belgian Beer Pub, serving food which we did not partake. A great selection of Belgian beers though we opted for the more local draft. Friendly staff and a marine decor, which is fine as we are all yacht sailors! Worth a visit.

Last month I visited with some guests several times this restaurant and last time just with our family! The service is quick and very friendly, kitchen is excellent and the Belgian Beers are great! The place looks like a typical English Pub with a fantastic view to the Danube river and the Building of the Parliament!

Halaszle soup is not very great (3* from 5*). Serving is fine. Belgian beer is super - strong and effective (to fast drank). There is contactless card or mobile pay support - paypass.

My husband is a big fan of Belgian beers, so even before we travelled to Budapest he searched out places that serve them and this cafe was one of them. I wasn't expecting food to match their beer selection, oh how wrong I was! Goulash is the best in the city for sure! As well as the simple chicken nuggets... More

Fine food if not for the fact that you get to much. Miss the starter unless you are special. Massive beer selection too.

When walking at the right bank of the Danube river it is quite easy to find the place. Few tables outside, a large area inside. I was quite hungry and started with a goulash soup (good one) and continue with spare-ribs (superb). Plus a glass of a good red wine. All together a very nice dinner for quite a reasonable... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
