If the experience has taught me anything it is never to eat at a restaurant without first checking tripadvisor. Place was dirty, toilets unsanitary, no ice/lemon with drink (on reflection this was possibly a bonus) and food was inedible. Unable to comment on bill as just desperate to settle and leave. Ended up going to French bakery around the corner... More

Absolutely disgusting food , had two mouth full and it made me feel sick and my seven friends had exactly the same ending. The Owner was so rude it was hilarious. Avoid at all cost.

Complete Rip off, we were a large party who spent a great deal of money at this establishment! the Music advertised as free isn't as the musicians hassle you constantly for money even flashing notes in your face...Rude!! the staff will rip you off and charge you for complimentary drinks as you leave 58 Euros for 6 shots is disgusting!... The food was ok, nothing exceptional but ok if you're tired and hungry. My 7yr old said the restaurant was dirty and it was. It is full... More

Owner/waiter rude and very obnoxious. A friend had a hair in her stew and he had the audacity to tell her the chef has hair net so... More

We sat there for lunch - price seems very reasonable for lunch. We didn't expect a goumet lunch but we didnt know the place is a real tourist trap ... a lot of people talk about the food so basically we agree with them. But the worse is the feeling to be part of a scam when the bill arrive... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
