We visited this pub as had found a 'pin' on pinterest. Glad we visited as its a sight to see for it unique dècor. We only had a beer each as it was quite busy, but we did leave a note! Prices were you average beer price. We would go back.

I was recommended this place by a friend. When I got there it was a little busy but there was no queue. After standing awkwardly by the front for a few moments without any acknowledgement, I walked over to an empty table and asked a nearby waitress if I could sit there. She muttered "I don't know" and stalked off.... More

As I said in a title this visit was a real disappointment. A lot of friends recommend us this place, so we decided to eat dinner there. We got in and there was a huge queue, nobody knows who is first, even the waiters. If you ask them for help they are very rude and sometimes don't even answer. We... More

It was definately sth different. The whole place is covered with written papers and the floor us covered in hay and peanuts. Looks like a barn it is a cozy, messy and cozy setting. You need to make a reservation as it is crowded. The food was OK and the portions very big so be careful yo order only one... More

Fun place, lots of creativity and original designs on walls. I came to budapest from NYC for short term holiday and i would recommend this place to all visitors, who like live music, old 70s songs and excellent choice of beer with tasty food

Happened upon the For Sale Pub by chance and I must say that I really liked it...the sawdust on the floor was there to soften the crunch of discarded peanut-shells on the table while you wait for your meal. Gigantic portions, well-cooked and well-presented. In addition, you are encouraged to draw a picture/cartoon or write a comment/verse on your placemat... More

We came with group of friends after getting recommendation from some people and also TripAdvisor. First I wan to say is, place was overcrowded, we end up queuing for 40 minutes to get seated (which is fine, considering feedback we had, we're happy to wait). Being in a queue, we noticed that staff is rude, but we thought it may... More

This is a place I've visited a number of times over the years but on this visit we found the staff so unpleasant it spoilt our visit. When we arrived I was pretty much told off by the waiter for not immediately deciding where to sit, we chose the bar, but then the bar lady was very resistant when it... More

So we went on january 1st. The goulash soup is really all that it's cracked up to be, really good and tasty. Unfortunately you will have to wait at least 40 minutes to get your food after you order, and the waiters look at you funny when you ask for something, salt or pepper, nothing fancy.. Like every request is... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
