My wife and I have not eaten at the Ping Kinea for a few years. In the past it has been average to good, unfortunately things appear to have changed. The one good thing is the portions are large. The problem is that the food is unpalatable. We had three main different main courses, each was a slimey concoction covered... More

On our last night on visiting Budapest we decided to treat ourselves to a Chinese... Ping Kinai didn't disappoint..... The cooking smells as you enter were very inviting, we were very surprised that on a Saturday night the restaurant was empty... Our waiter explained he had limited English but that did not hinder our ordering (used dish numbers on menu)... More

Right near the Metro station, Ping has a good selection of menu choices. This restaurant has been a favorite of my Hungarian family for many years. The ambiance is low key, the food quality is consistent. There is just about anything you could wish for on the menu, and some new more unusual options. I enjoyed the shrimp chips, dim... More

Why would I order Chinese in Budapest with my girlfriend in a hotel you may wonder? I'm very sick and had no other choice, so I did. Late delivery, the email system is Amazon-like and made me wonder if I was going to get our rice next Monday. The man who delivered was quite grumpy, didn't give the exact change... More

The place as far as the interior goes is okay. Slightly dated but clean and okay. Lots of red and gaudy decoration. You know, like a Chinese restaurant. The crew is very helpful and attentive which is good. On the menu every dish is numbered, even a request for "not spicy" or a "little spicy" food. Rest assured that the... More

I was at a nearby hotel and found this restaurant via an internet search: I was in the mood for Chinese food. While the food itself was not bad ... the overall experience was quite poor. I ordered at about 8:00 PM using their internet site. I don't speak Hungarian and thought that this would make communication easier. I think... More

From a menu with over 200 dishes, we treated ourselves to one of our best dinners in Budapest. The service was efficient, more on the formal, polite, side than the more relaxed or even indifferent style of many restaurants in this city. The food was more authentic Chinese than in many Chinese restaurants in Europe. A good wine list. (Note.... More

Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Budapest! Ping offers great choices and reasonable prices. It is a regular stop for our family and guests.

Very clean well laid out restaurant, big menu but not offputtingly so, very friendly and experienced unflustered waiter serving half full restaurant on his own with ease, yummy food and big portions good value. Yes the entrance is a bit shabby, but do not be put off by this.

This restaurant was established 18 years ago, and still going successfully, which isn’t too common because of the Hungary’s current financial situation. We went there for a weekday lunch, and it was nearly fully occupied. Their menu card is really impressive, since you can choose in between 202 different dishes, 13 different desserts (obviously 13 isn’t an unlucky number for... More
