As you remember the non-touristic places in Rome - you walk in, there is someone smiling at you and joking as offering a place - in Italian but it just makes it better. Simple menu with the basics, though it is always worth checking the daily offer. Home-made pasta - not written only but in fact! Prepare to come back... More

Found this restaurant on our first night in Budapest on TripAdvisor since it had good ratings and close to our hotel. Quaint setting. Could tell that it was going to be a traditional Italian dinner since both staff and customers were speaking Italian. Since we got there for an early dinner on a Wed night, we were able to get... Our favourite place! The athmospere the food and the other product, just amazing! Lovely! Valdo prosecco is the best what we had ever tasted! I highly recommend this place, for dinner, breakfast or just to hang out!

We had an amazing Italian lunch here. Small place but was packed with people. Amazing atmosphere, great service and yummy food. An authentic Italian meal.

Apparently We were extremely lucky to get a table in this Pizzaria as a walk in, but boy were we glad we managed to. The Pizza's didn't arrive very quickly but when they came they were truly outstanding. The wine was very reasonably priced and of excellent quality and the overall cost was remarkably reasonable given the quality of the... More

A nice friendly Italian welcome . Small place but big in character. A few tables in the front and more at the back. Well fed happy looking people as we waited. I had read reviews on a TA Budapest forum. Had the best pizza this side of Little Italy ( The North End , Boston) Perfect crust thin and crisp... More

Budapest does Italian very well. There are a handful of Italian kitchens, from expensive to reasonable that deliver exceptional authentic quality to your table. GianMario's is no exception - and may be deserving of a top Italian fare ranking in the city. I know this - the pizza, which I've had 6+ times is very very good. The traditional thin... More

Best breakfast of a 7 day (so far) trip. Great coffee and service. Reasonably priced. Eggs and bacon, recommended. Hubby loved it too.

Wife and I found this place on TA and were glad we did. Great little place. Quieter in the AM. Got the eggs and Ham, they brought bread out with it. Best coffee on our trip so far. We may hit it again before we depart Budapest.

Small and authentic italian restaurant. The service was very kind, the owners are italian. I ordered pizza and my other 2 friends too , the 3 pizzas were really tasty and crunchy. I can say that is the one or the second best pizza of budapest. It was cheap so i highly recommend it.
