Great place to eat or stop for a drink, we did both... Staff are friendly and attentive, and the costs reasonable. Food was good and an atmosphere to match.

A great looking place with good staff. I had chicken paprikash which consisted of two legs and some crumbled dumpling in sauce. Good flavour and tender meat spoilt by most of the bowl filled with small tastless flour lumps. The Weiner schnitzel was huge with a bowl of cold posted and onions. A table next to ours had a great... More

We had a beer here at a table outside in the morning sun, which we enjoyed, and it looked like a nice place to have a meal too, so we returned the following day for lunch. The waitress recognized us on our return visit, and immediately asked us if we would like the four beers again while we looked at... More

We stopped here just for some sandwiches and it turned out that this is a lively place. The interior design is very pleasant ant comfortable. You can sit outside on a sunny place as well. The food was good and good priced. Service was nice and helpful.

Popped in here just on the off-chance for lunch. If you want to experience an authentic Goulash (which apparently is more of a soup) this is the place. On a very cold Saturday lunchtime we were given a very warm welcome. Recommended.

In view of all the good reviews, I expected a wonderful experience and honestly I was really disappointed. Surely the service is friendly but prices are not especially low and the chicken stew ordered was not hot neither very tasty. I don't think it's hard to find something better in Budapest but maybe we were unlucky...

We went in here for a quick lunch and the soup and drinks were fantastic. Excellent service. The only downside was we were hoping to get in and out but it took a long time.

Waited a while to be served and for our food to come. The chicken was so over cooked and bland. I was told the French potatoes were with cream so assumed it would be potato dauphinoise but it was nothing like it, just really horrible. The 'steak potatoes' were shop bought frozen potato wedges. Don't eat here. I have no... More

After walking past this location several times during my long weekend in Budapest I decided to give this place a try. The turkey tarragon with cheese soup was very tasty! I also enjoyed the chicken paprikash. Good meal, nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

Don't go here. I waited 50 minutes for my "deluxe" hamburger that was as overcooked as could be. The meat was dry and i couldnt finish it. My gf had the grilled chicken, which was cooked ok, but not grilled! Her potato pancake was deep fried rösti. Dissapointing. I'm not sure why everyone is so positive here for food that... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
