This was the tiniest restraunt I've ever been to, but it was excellent. It was probably the best pork belly I have ever had and, believe me, I know my pork :) Because of it small size and staff it is very cozy and home like. I imagine it is a great place for a business lunch or a date.... More

This is a restaurant with heart and soul. The owners are hosts for their guests in a way, I have never experienced before. That is just loveable! Don't expect huge fake smiles, but expect proud people, who want their guests to feel like they visit their home, and want you to have the best meal from their own kitchen. It... More

Every food lover should eat at Kispiac at least once. Next time we visit Budapest, we will definitely come back. Simply great! And the host was really nice and friendly.

With ony 3 nights in a city how do you find your idea of a perfect venue. ?The majority are often right. So if your looking for : small, as in 18 diners and its full, local, very pleasant service , fine local food and drink and very good value then this is the place.

Don't go there if you want to have a nice time without VERY rude waiters. @Kispiac team (especially you older sir) - you have closed door and closed mind. That's why sooner or later you'll lose every single customer.

So disappointing! In my case, going there was not the best idea. The waiter in one minute ruined my good opinion about Budapest and Hungarian people. In his opinion I did not order enough food so he told me to leave the place. And he did it in really unpleasant, rude style. Unfortunately no good recommendation from my side.

A small, intimate restaurant, perfect for a new years without the craziness. The male owner knew how to work the floor! He was attentive, understood what we wanted to a tee and served us the most incredible champagne. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Very nice location in this small restaurant. we had the chance to find a table for lunch and we had great typical Hungarian food (roasted beef) very well prepared just in front of us. I highly suggest to book in advance considering the limited number of tables available! Do not miss it!

A friend had suggested it as a place with local Hungarian cuisine. And I walked away not wanting to leave. Was fortunate to get an early reservation and had the chicken and potato plate. The service was great. And it is just the cutest little place. It will be an absolute must. May even be a reason I travel to... More

Kispiak is conveniently located at walking distance from the Parliament. The quaint small room is tastefully decorated and you can see the chefs cooking in the impeccably clean kitchen. We had very good food experiences during our stay in Budapest but Kispiak was clearly one of our favourite. We went for grilled duck liver as a starter and it was... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
