Great location and outstanding restaurant. Our party of 6 ordered a variety of dishes including the very tasty T-bone and very tender filet steaks. All perfectly cooked and amazing quality meat. Perfect wine list and very knowledgable staff recommended the perfect match. We had a delicious Hungarian red wine. Highly recommend not missing out on the sides and sauces. The... More

In search for a nice steak dinner near the danube river, was advised to check out trendy KNRDY. Website looked promising, located conveniently in city center. So there we went. Quite some empty seats on a tuesday evening, reservations not needed. A bit disappointed in the staff and their knowledge of the english language. Menu immediately revealed this was going... More

People often assume that there’s a straightforward relationship between price and quality—a low price indicates something is of low quality; a high price indicates it’s high quality. Probably this is the story behind this restaurant which I have visited. First of all the restaurant by itself is absolutely nothing special- the decoration, the service - everything was just like in... More

We visited KNRDY while on a short city break to Budapest, and actually chose the restaurant due to the great reviews of its cocktails! The restaurant is beautifully designed and has an intimate atmosphere with candles and quiet music. As promised, KNRDY offers a great range of cocktails (including one that is Haribo flavoured!) that are all reasonably priced for... More

Our meal was wonderful......steak cooked to perfection and the Bernaise sauce was to die for. I am very fussy about how my gin and tonic is served and the waiter served my drink exactly to my liking. The staff, especially the manager, were very courteous and couldn't do enough to please us. Definitely a restaurant that we will return to.

Very good restaurant. Fresh and delicious foods. I love it! The price is not too high but the quality is first class.

The odd experience started when we entered. First time we were asked if we were our name without mentioning it. Probably didn't have any reservations for the night because only two tables were busy when we entered and after half an hour we were alone in the restaurant. Half of the meat dishes weren't available, and only a few huge... More

Very good restaurant, offering really fresh and great steaks, and some good seafood appetizers. Actually I have had one of the best steaks in CEE probably, at this place. The only negative is the price they do charge for it (dinner for 2 with few glasses of vine is about 180 EUR) - but when there is demand, why to... More

If you are looking for a nice steak this place will meet your requirements. The menu is not super extensive but it has sufficient choices. We both had steaks and they were good quality and portions. It would be nice to see them come with a side or salad instead of having to order separtely. The service was professional although... More

There are several steak houses in Budapest but KNRDY is the best. It has a beautiful interior and the staff is always very attentive and kind. If you are looking for a steak house this should be your choice.

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
