The spacious interior with modern grey mosaic tiles might make you wonder if you are in a spa and people wearing bathrobes might walk by any moment. The food was tasty and nicely presented; the Serrano platters - both with and without cheese - were great (the place is not called HamFaces for no reason), and friends were happy with... More

Thank you for the great service and the perfect dinner courses. If you eat here you cannot go wrong with any choice. If you have room for dessert as well, you must try the creme brulee.. exceptional. Recommended not only for eating ham. :)

As a few other reviews mention, service isn't particularly important here. I suspect this is because service is included in the bill. The food was nice and arrived pretty quickly but I thought it was on the expensive side. I don't mind paying a bit extra if the food and experience reflect it but I didn't feel that was the... More

We had a nice wine and limonade(from a jam jar?!?-looked weird). The waiters were really friendly. They informed us,that the kitchen is closed but the let us to eat ham plates, just what we wanted. The hams were fab! We got little bruscetta with. The waiters really knows about the wines like they were speaking about their kids. A bit expensive,... More

After nearly an hour of waiting for two soups and a burger we just gave up, paid for the drinks and left. The waiters didn't seem too bothered or surprised - must happen quite often.

We had lunch here on our last day, the food was lovely, and so was the wine. Don't know why people complain about the service, to be honest the waiter was the kindest we've encountered in Budapest. The prices were also ok. We would surely return here. I reccomend the pork with apricots and maybe try a hungarian starter plateau.

Had dinner here with a friend, I ordered a peppered pork and my friend ordered a duck dish with pumpkin risotto. My pork was soft and tender with a great syrupy sauce and my friend's duck breast was cooked to perfection pink and crispy skin. Best dishes we have both ever eaten and only cost us £13 each including tips... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
