Very nicely decorated, big restaurant. I had the beef goulash which was delicious. The burrata starter was great too. And the bread comes out in a cute flower pot - such a nice touch. Service was good & our waiter spoke English - always a plus.

We stayed at the Kempinski and it was too cold to go out to dinner we decided to try the ES and were pleasantly surprised by the service and food. The waiter was great telling us to order from the specials as they were very good ( he was right) and even his choice for dessert was great ( chestnut... More

Nice place for a dinner in center of city. We didn't like the salad with pumpkin and ricotta cheese, was tasteless, but the steak was tasty and goose liver with apples amazing! The wine recommended by a waiter with price 45 euros was very simple and overpriced. Very good service and very professional waiter!

Five of us ate here for dinner, hadn't booked, amazed the place was so empty. Good service, food brought promptly to our table and orders taken in good time too. Friendly staff and a very clean place. Delicious steak, cooked perfectly. Not cheap, but worth it. Definitely worth a visit, most enjoyable. Certainly a place worth dressing up for too,... More

I spent a few days in the Kempinski hotel Corvinus and have very much enjoyed their in-house food street (Gastronomic Quarter Downtown Budapest) including restaurant És Bisztró. All facilities are great in terms of quality and service. Had both lunch and dinner at És Bistró during my stay at Kempinski. I was very impressed with the staff, they made me... More

Terrible service. Our waiter acted as if he is doing us a favor for waiting on us. Another waiter shouted at the hostess in front of the entire restaurant. Food was expensive and not very tasty.

A fashionable high-end restaurant at the 5 star Kempinski Hotel, casual interior, very polite service where the food was a disappointment. The lamb salad was not crisp and my partner's poached cod smelled very strongly, though he said it was OK. The dessert, a Hungarian specialty (poppy seed pasta, a version of gnocchi), however, was phenomenal.

Thank Peter H

Az ÉS egy laza magyar vendéglő és pecsenyesütöde, ahol a hagyományos éttermi formai megkötésektől mentesen is jól érezheted magad sörözés, borozás, beszélgetés közben falatozgatva. A klasszikus magyar fogások mellett izgalmas falatozós ételeket alkottunk, emellett húsokat, halakat grillezünk. A már ismert monarchiabeli ételek, különleges grillek ÉS falatok mellett izgalmas bor- ÉS kézműves sörválaszték vár. ***Wine bar, beer pub, terrace, bistro, restaurant, brasserie. In ÉS you don’t need to have traditional dishes and follow dining traditions. The menu has three separate parts: nibbles to share, typical dishes of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and grilled meat and fish. A unique, unconventional wine and beer selection rounds off this delicious gastro experience. Breaking with the formality of dining traditions, i.e., the sequence of starter, main course and dessert, guests can have nibbles while enjoying a glass of wine or beer. Night and day. With friends and family.
