We made 2 visits to this place recently, and while neither of our dinners was absolutely perfect, both were good. Service was friendly, if perhaps a bit slow at times. On our first night, we had steaks, which were relatively good. Our waiter recommended a bottle of really good Hungarian red wine. On the second night, one of us ordered... More

What a place. It may look ordinary from outside, but the interior's beatiful. Beef goulash was delicious, of the best I've had.

We were staying a hotel nearby and this was recommended by the staff. We didn't have a table booked but they fit us in. The atmosphere was relaxing and they had musician and singer and music wasn't too loud so you could still talk. The food was yummy but big portions I would recommend sharing as I eat a lot... More

We went there with a small group. The waiters were really nice, but I think they imagine that they are nobles according to their behavior. The food made me remind to the good old times when I was living in this country. I can recommend it

Hidden away in narrow streets of Obuda, this gem offers visitors and locals a glimpse of Budapest culture. The food is wholesome, plentiful and varied. Something for everyone who enjoys traditional fare. So much choice makes it difficult, as waiters pass carrying such variety, that only want to make you want more, but, of course, you've probably eaten all you... More

Recommended by our hotel staff, this is basically a restaurant four locals, and a 15-20 min taxi ride from the city centre. The food was excellent, with very generous portions. We left the wine choice to the waiter, and weee not disappointed. Service was good and the live music was not to loud or intrusive. Ask your hotel to order... More

Close to the Aquincum Hotel, so a little out of town, but this restaurant is well worth a visit. Certainly beats the Hotel restaurant hands down. Traditional surroundings, a lively band playing gypsy music, and super friendly staff. All of the food was fabulous, good sized portions, well presented and well cooked. Nothing out of the ordinary on the menu,... More

First off, the service is terrible. When we asked to recommend us some red wine the waiter just said OK, and was about to bring us some wine. When we asked for explanations he looked frustrated and brought wine cart that was in hungarian. When we asked to show where to look for red and show what he wanted to... More
