Just wanted to let people know that we went to this restaurant as there was a one $ sign which signifies it's cheaper. As soon as we walked in we thought it looked expensive and it was. A beer was about $10. I am sure the food is good but people need to know this is not a low cost... More

We travel. A lot. And this was one of our best dining experiences in the past ten years. We took the recommendations of our server Gergo for the best Hungarian dishes. Each was better than the next! The pike-perch was sublime, the salmon delicious, and the lamb amazing. The Hungarian pancake and cabbage pasta were divine. They only thing better... More

This restaurant, rarely crowded is much better than you would expect. The service is attentive, the food ranges between Hungarian and some French. We enjoyed lunch one day and dinner another

Yes, it's a bombastic headline. And look I normally don't dine at hotels. But this is really sublime. Impeccable service and divine food. Everything. And not expensive.

This was a great quiet place. They serve French cuisine with some Hungarian starters. Good service and pleasant staff.

We have decided to try the Sunday Brunch (30/08) at Le Bourbon based on the good review. It was very dissapointing experience. Not because of the food but the overall experience. As the replenishment of the foods were slow and some instances we have to queue and remind the staffs to go into the kitchen to ask for it :(... More

Le Bourbon has good food and also fantastic service. This is a rare combination in Budapest. The Hungarian menu with the wine pairings is excellent.

I am writing this review based on my recent experience with their Friday Night Hungarian buffet with Gypsy Music. So disappointed in the entire buffet that I won't attempt an individual critique of each choice. Don't believe the hotel recommendation as this is not a good experience if you are looking for great food.

While the food was fine, it did not feel authentic and more like hotel food. I'd highly recommend heading out of the hotel for meals, as there are a lot of great options nearby.

Saw this place was recommended in the Michelin guide so assumed the food would be of a fairly high standard. Staff were friendly but we noticed a couple of tables who arrived after us getting served their drinks first. When we asked we were told they had forgotten about us. Not off to the best start. We both ordered the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
