Great food. Friendly staff. Low prices. If you love mexican food, this is the place to eat in Budapest.

I cannot stress enough how great it is! Lemon or strawberry: just order and enjoy! I like to order the Monterrey Burrito but with meat, not chicken. It's not on the menu, so be sure to ask for it. No doubts that you will enjoy!

Excellent food but very less quantity. Expensive place near touristic attractions . Busy staff but we found a nice one .

The first time I've been to this Mexican restaurant was some twenty years ago - and it's still there, which should mean something. I always try to have a meal there whenever I visit Budapest. It changed little over the years - it's noisy and it's always busy, with very friendly staff and great food.

Food average, price average, service was friendly. The steak on the burger was thick but lacked flavour.

Food is not bad, if you stick to the usual otherwise you may risk some impact on your stomach. Location is good but small and specially during weekends they try to send you away to make the table generating more income. One waitress was incredibly arrogant when we wanted to send back some meat as we asked "well done" and... More

Iguana is one of our favorite places in Budapest and we always seem to gravitate back to the restaurant, even if it is just for a margarita. The service is top notch, the food is affordable and the atmosphere terrific.

I would really recommend this place. I've lived for a long time in London where one can find any kind of cuisine that you can ever imagine. However, some of the Mexican restaurants there were far from what Mexican cuisine has to offer. But this place in Budapest is really a treat. I have noticed that Budapest has very good... More

If you're hungry and in the vicinity of Parliament or Szabadszag ter, this is a great place to dine for lunch or dinner. Good service and good food await at reasonable prices given the great location. I didn't imbibe, but the pitchers of margaritas looked mouthwatering. We ordered different chicken-based entrees and they were tasty and tender.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
