This was the highlight of our Budapest dining experience. The other places we visited in Budapest were also great but this was SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL. Well worth the travel from the city. And to see a typical Hungarian neighborhood.

They couldn't find our reservation, however it has been confirmed in writing. We had to listen to the complaints about internal communication issues, however they had several free tables... Food was fairly ok, but nothing special. We loved the look and feel of the place...More

This is a charming traditional restaurant a few miles west of Buda. It is also much better value than the well known Gundel in town that attracts tourists. A good meal for three people with starters and a bottle of wine and tip came to...More

Well, it was ‘Goose Season’ during our visit to this wonderful, traditional gem of a restaurant, and so I should not have been surprised at the amazing number of variations available on the menu! In the end, I chose an oven-baked shoulder of lamb that...More

Book in advance to meet the best team of waiters. And of course excellent service is in line with the quality of good old Hungarian cuisine.

If you want to taste real Hungarian food, this is the restaurant you need to visit. The prices are a bit high, but the sizes are huge. The restaurant is far from the city center, you need a car to get there.

The above mentioned tram number is 61, and then you need the bus number 157A or 257, or 157. The stop'sname is "Ördögárok utca". It is an hour from the city center.
