Far out of the city center, but if you end up in the 2A district consider it! This is a very well-known and good Hungarian restaurant. They offer the traditional Hungarian kitchen, have a cosy inside area and lovely terrace with playground. Friendly prices and good service!

Our duck was delicious in all fairness, and the portion size was reasonable, but not extraordinary for the price. No lunch specials, sadly, in a culture where mid day meals are celebrated and many go out two-three times a week for the social aspect of it. I have had much better meals at other local watering holes for half the... More

This is a Buda restaurant with a long history. Away from the bustling city center, you can experience traditional Hungarian dishes, ranging from soups to venison. The menu is not unique in itself and averagely priced, but if you look for a quiet place, with good local food, garden, child and dog friendly this is a good choice for a... More

My favourite restaurant in Budapest. Have been coming here for over 20 years and nothing has changed. This time I tried the chicken soup, which was delicious, followed by the Wiener schnitzel which was so big that it hung over the side of the plate. My wife ate a grilled chicken dish which was cooked just right. For dessert I ate... More

Went for dinner with my partner last night after he had recommended it from a previous visit. There were no taxis available that night but we were defer to get there. Two trams, a bus and a 10 minute walk later I was past the point of caring and thought it would take a lot to please me but this... More

Famous with the Hungarians so you know it has to be good! Very authentic menu and a rustic atmosphere. Just like visiting Aunt Nenci's house back in the day! Goulash and fish soup are fantastic. Don't forget to try the Chocolate Soufflé for a delicious end to your dinner!

It's traditional food but done well. The only negative is the distance from central Budapest but well worth the trip for good food in a cozy setting. Definitely not a cheap option as the appeal is clearly for tourists but the staff speak multiple languages and it is a good non-touristy feeling tourist restaurants

Nancsi Neni Vendeglo. Located on the door-way of Budapest this very traditional restaurant has been one of the best known locations since generations. Enclosed by a romantic garden this charming cottage styled building features restaurant and bar services in- and out-door. The philosophy of food by its chefs is based on classic recipes such as goose liver creme brulee or... More

A very pleasant local restaurant. We sat outside in the yard and the atmosphere was romantic and cozy. Excellent Hungarian dishes.

When foreigners come to town and want Hungarian cuisine, I usually recommend this place as its atmosphere is authentic and the food is most of the times very good! The price range is a little high, with a few over priced dishes but some of the dishes are worth the price.
