Located very conveniently on a main thoroughfare and part of the main building of the City Ring Hotel we visited this restaurant or 1st evening in Budapest. That made us pleased we had come to Budapest as the value for money was a pleasant surprise for so central a restaurant. Meal was great for the money. Service good. Menu choice... More

Excellent food, service and prices. Fab atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Couple minutes walking distance from the Ritz Carlton hotel. (Monkfishstew and chicken paprika both excellent)

Great services and tasteful dishes. Great Hungarian cuisine experience. No objection on the food. The whole place is quiet and friendly. Recommend for tourists which want to experience quality Hungarian dishes.

First thing I noticed about the Red Pepper, a traditional Hungarian Food restaurant, was the ambience and smooth Jazz playing, as you descend the stairs, in the background in what I can only describe as a modern but old contemporary underground feel if that makes sense. It's WiFi enabled restaurant and feels luxurious with its heavy wooden tables and a... More

We found this place by pure chance and what a find it was . The outside does not do this place justice, as inside is beautiful and new , the food is the best we had . I had goulash soup which was amazing ,especially on the cold evenings, my husband had pork schnitzel which was a huge meal, he... More

We passed this restaurant leaving the hotel this morning. Nothing special to look at although it adjoins the British Embassy, which causes part of the street to blocked off. Decided to take a chance as the Trip Advisor reviews were pretty positive. We wanted an authenthic Hungarian Goulash. Red Pepper delivered. It was simple, hardy but tasty, served with slices...
