The service was bad, really bad. The waiters were impolite and not flexible when we wanted to split the bill and even cursed one of my friends in Hungarian. The food wasn't seasoned at all and everything was fried. Choose another restaurant if you want to eat good Hungarian food!

Best schnitzel in town, huge, crispy and tasty. Pork knuckle is also good. Cucumber salad is refreshing. Carp soup is not my type. Excellent food for a low price. Overall, highly recommend.

We found Fatal on our first night walking around Budapest. We wanted Hungarian food & were impressed with the huge menu. We were seated straight away & luckily just chose to skip the starters & just go for a main each. This was a great decision when we saw the size of the portions. The food was really nice &... More

We dined here twice during our 3-nights stay in Budapest. You can't stop from coming back again when you see the food Quality & Quantity. Pictures tell you more. Very glad we choose this restaurant for the taste and big portions and price. For 10 Eur/person you get full and enjoy it (while in other restaurants for the same price... More

I have never seen such rudeness. We were a group of 5 females. 3 adults and 2 teens. The owner demanded we order 5 main dishes. Not 4, sides and desert not included. He wouldn't answer any question about the menu and was extremely impatient and angry. We stepped out without ordering food. He then yelled at us antisemitic remarks.

I saw this place several times but never really wanted to enter. Few weeks back I was looking for a quick solution for a dinner and gave it a try. It was surprisingly good! Staff is ok. Food nice. Portions are enormous. Price reasonable. Definitely coming back.

I know you dont go to Budapest for fish and chips but these were the best i've ever tasted! We were so impressed that we went back again and everything we ordered was freshly cooked and tasty - we also had food envy looking at everyone else's dinners!

Thank Karen B

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
