If you want to experience the 'ruin bar' culture this is an eclectic must for cocktails, people watching and simply good fun... We visited twice and loved it. Personally would eat elsewhere - you don't come here for the food ;)

If you want to see a cool site and are from out of town, go here. However, if you want to be with locals, don't. basically no hungarian. All parties/stag-parties. cool to see the place and the ruins though.

We stopped here for drinks around 6 pm on a week day. There was a good sized crowd, but there was plenty of open seating since this place is huge. They had beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic drinks. I think they even served food. Drinks...More

Have you ever visited a ruin pub? Well...this is the grandfather of all ruin pubs in Budapest. It is no longer a cheap one, but you'll find everything there.

Why can't we have places like this in England - probably because of our ridiculous health and safety laws! You need more than one pair of eyes to take everything in and it has a great atmosphere. Beers as cheap as most places and well...More

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

Sorry I can't help - we only had drinks. Try googling to see if there's a menu available to view online 😊. Enjoy Budapest! Karen

Szimpla Farm Shop under 7. Kazinczy street is open for you! We couldn't take it anymore that you can only buy these producer goods on Sundays, so we made the essence available for the weekdays too. Soups with meat and vegetarian, Mangalica hot dog, sandwiches from the best available materials from real producers. Cakes, cookies, strudels from sweet cheese, poppy seed, apple, all from Szimpla.
