This cafe is shut at the moment but the sign outside says it will open again soon. However we have visited here several times and have also taken visitors that we have had. Really lovely. Take a book and read and drink one of their...More

It's pricey and high sociaty, but the coffee and the food are great and the building is incredible. Good service. Not a must-visit but a good meal

Ate breakfast here whilst staying in the apartments next door. Waiting staff were very attentive to our needs and coffee cups were refilled promptly. Choice of breakfast buffet items was amazing and beautifully displayed. Great to eat breakfast in such lovely surroundings.

It’s a cafeteria-restaurant in a palace that renovated in 2006 with the design that had in 19th century. All the products are good enough and the prices are alright for one of the best places in town

After walking what seems to be miles found this place and it was great. Cakes were excellent. Felt like i was in a gangster movie.

Decided to have afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. How disappointing that behind the glamour you were given paper napkins, cheap china, dry and inadequately filled sandwiches and lukewarm tea, oh yes and then look out for the 20% service charge. Enjoy looking in but...More

Venue is nice, with great live music being played. Service was pretty awful considering the price. We had to ask three times (over a 30 minute period) before an agitated waiter came to our table to take our order. Coffee and food are ok but...More

A piece of advice in advance: If you just want to snap a picture of the oppulent decor, use the hotel entrance of the Boscolo and enter the restaurant via the lobby (go to the left when you’re in the lobby). This way you don’t...More

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

I wouldn't attempt it as previous people have said it is quite busy and the turnover of patrons large. The only thing I would suggest is to obviously ask you make get away with it from the downstairs room.
