Average at best. Poor servise, mediocre food. Another notch down for evening digestion problems caused by the dinner. Main dish was ok, but we've been let down by starter and deserts. Not comparable to their Pezinok restaurant, whis is excelent.

The food and service were excellent! One of the best meals I've ever had. We also had a chance to look in the wine cellar. For a salad, two appetizers, two entrees, one dessert and a bottle of wine, we paid $95.

I had no idea about Slovakian wines. This was a wonderful introduction in an excellent atmosphere and with wonderful food to boot

Having had an opportunity to dine here was simply amazing! I love the ambience and the service is impecable. The choices of wine is vast and they know what to suggest! They also have an amazing variety and seasonal choices of food to savour. The CHEF is one of the judges of the Cooking Master Chef Show which is simply... More

This place isn't in the main tourist area, we found it on TripAdvisor and I thought it would be perfect for dinner. I was expecting it to be a cosy, old building with character and the wine cellar. It was awful. When I walked in I actually wanted to leave, but it was raining and we had walked a long... More

Very special setting. Old fashioned atmosphere. A lot of fame dishes and fantastic variety of wines made by, one of the leading Slovak wine makers (Matysak) Should try some of the exotic wine deserts Unfortunately it is slightly out of the way, off the beaten track

Restaurant Matisak offers excellent haute cuisine in Bratislava. Seasonal specialties in menu are little gems and always surprised us. Each course has own taste built layer by layer by fresh ingredients well prepared and combined often by surprising way. And if you like the kind of dinner when assistance of a sommelier this is one of recommended places in Bratislava.... More

I was far too hungover/drunk to make breakfast in the hotel so instead I had a spot of lunch, delighted I didn't have to leave the building. I had a pork steak thing and some rather delicious green and yellow semi liquid garnishes. I enjoyed it immensely and did not vomit.

Well worth a visit when in Bratislava, one of the best restaurants we have eaten in anywhere. We had 3 excellent, well presented courses. Both red & white wines were great.

This restaurant includes a big wine cellar. Be sure to ask the waiter for some good local wine and whether you can visit the cellar, its totally worth it.
