Centrally located, full of old times glory. 60s. Service is good. Salmon steak was good. Not packed with tables, you can have a business conversation here.

The proof that old recipes work well. Really liked it - very high quality food, left the empty plate (I am the type who always finds something uneatable in the served meat), and tasty too - the type of time tested non fancy taste that I have been missing for a long time - Kiev cutlet and cream with jam.... Ate here one night in October 2016. A bit stylish, nice old looking restaurant. We had a good salad for starters, a bit dry chicken for main and actually I forget what we had for dessert..so can’t have been all that. Maybe worth the visit for the interior.

Visited the place for dinner. It is indeed a step back to 1959 both interior and food wise. Recomended for people who didnt have a chance to eat Soviet-times food. As far as the good is concerned, it is delicious and rustic.

Definitely a blast from the past type of place. Was a little disappointed after reading the reviews of the architecture and art behind it, but wasn't impressed once I get inside: nothing out of the ordinary or unique. This restaurant does stay true to the Soviet era of the 60s, including the presentation of the food. A little lackluster in... More

Many of the dishes are served as they were in 1959, which gives a unique perspective on Lithuanian food. We tried the herring and beef tartare appetizers which were decent. We also had the chicken Kiev, which was good. Overall the restaurant was an interesting experience.

This place is really historic as was opened in 1959. The authors were architecs Algimantas and Vytautas Nasvyciai. The interior was created by artists Vladas Jankauskas, Vytautas Povilaitis (mural painting), sculptor Juozas Kedainis. In November 5, 1970 the interior was listed among State Protected Monuments of Lithuanian Architecture. Many vistors come because of this. We come here for special occasions... More

The staff was very pleasant and did everything to please us. The cook never showed his face. He could have because we had an excellent meal.

Even though we were a group of 10 we were treated to an evening of fine dining and excellent service! We particularly liked the wide selection of Lithuanian dishes and everything we had was delicious! All things considered, especially as we had a lot of alcohol, we found the cost to be very reasonable too.

Very nice location at the city centre. Good restaurant for business breakfast or lunch. authentic ineterior from Soviet time (silence modernism in Lithuania, by very famous Lithuanian architectects twins A. and V Nasvyciai) And the famous dish from Soviet time Kiev chicken (must try). Personal friendly, speaks in English), prices mid - range.
