Every time I am in Tallinn I make sure that I come and dine here. I am never disappointed. When you enter the front entrance you are greeted by a roaring fireplace. The restaurant is done in dark wood with deep purple and grey cushions to add color. The decor acts as a simple backdrop to the food. The ingredients... More

Food was very good although the portions were rather small. Pleasent service however a bit slow when more customers arrived.

Very impressed by everything in this place. It has a beautiful garden (unfortunately we didn't enjoy it due to cold weather), nice interior, great service from very knowledgeable staff. The menu is shot and seasonal as it should be in a great restaurant, the quality of food was simply amazing. You can feel that they really passionate about food -... More

Loved this little restaurant - cosy sheepskin drapes the chairs, and a friendly welcome awaits. Food appetising and is so well presented, it's a shame to scoff it. But I loved everything...the hummus and crispy veg topping, quail in chimmichuri (?) sauce and of course, my favourite pud, crème brulé! Doesn't break the bank (we didn't have wine with each... Had the "scottish room" reserved for a group of 10 friends. Leib served an excellent 3 course meal with matching wines. The food was excellent!! Good quality, great taste and good looking with nice small twists. The wine pairing was a total hit! Service was kind and fast. Highly recommend, must come back in the summer and dine in the... We could have returned here every night for dinner! Before arriving, I read a blog that describe many of the top restaurants in Tallinn that the blogger had visited during restaurant week. The way he described Leib Resto ja Aed left such an impression that we just had to try it. The blogger stated, "Every mouthful is an experience" and... More

Good service, nicely designed dishes, small or medium size portions, high prices. Some dishes are good, some are just OK. Not bad place for business lunch.

This is a really popular place so you need to reserve a table. The food and service was really good! The only minus is that the portion sizes are not overly large so I suggest that you take an appertizer as well if you are really hungry.

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
