Visited this restaurant back in 2009 and all I can say is it is the BEST restaurant I have EVER been to. We tried to find something even remotely comparable in many countries around the world and there simply is nothing like it. From a...More

The atmosphere is perfect for the medieval feel, and the menu is simply sublime. As someone who loves to try anything I'm offered, I took the wonderfully charismatic waiters suggestions of courses, and of the delicious honey beer to wash it down with. The time...More

One of the highlights of our trio to Tallinn was eating at the Olde Hansa. We tried wild Boar, and brown Bear washed down with Honey Beer in a huge jug. Most period restaurants just ride on their novelty factor without much effort in the...More

I fell in love with Tallinn, Estonia. And one of the reasons was Olde Hansa. Initially we entered the small shop and tried their fudge, which is delicious. I bought a few bags to bring home. We then decided to have lunch in the restaurant....More

On one of my many visits to Olde Hansa, I overheard a German woman nervously ask the waitress what dish came with potatoes. "Why, nothing, madame," came the cheerful reply. "The potato is a New World tuber and here in the year 1400, America has...More

Came here with a friend and ordered the pork leg with beer sauce and a cinnamon beer. I was taken a back by the size of portion but as was very hungry I managed to polish off the meaty dish with ease. The accompanying vegetables...More

Looking for a place for lunch we happened across this place. Everyone dressed in (what I think was) traditional costumes. Overly welcoming, the decor is of a medieval theme. The staff act accordingly and are happy to engage in playful banter and exchanges. The food...More

Description
The medieval restaurant Olde Hansa is the home of a rich merchant, whose guests enjoy delicious, authentic Hansa-era meals and drinks, true period music and always friendly service. All of the dishes on the menu, including many wild game delicacies, are cooked using 15th century recipes and methods. Medieval musicians delight the guests every night of the week except Mondays. Tallinn Card holders receive a sweet treat with every meal purchased - a bag of freshly roasted almonds, on the house!
