We went to this "famous" place because everybody told us it was so special. And special it was. In order to get a meal, we had to pay 10 euros in cover charge because there was a concert inside. We ordered our meals, the girl who took our orders was friendly and informative. But when the pepper steak arrived it... More

Polite serving staff. Decent food (I recommend the bread bowl with mash and bacon), nice beer, and relaxed attitude. It looked shut when we arrived, so make sure to give the front door a big push if you're not sure.

Great restaurant and bar in an old gunpowder magazine turned into a beer hall. Really good food, great atmosphere and location.

Unusual setting which adds to its charm, can be very noisy as the atmosphere can be very good.. You basically go here for good beer (served in enormous 1 litre pots), the food (concentrate just on the snack platters if you are settling in for a long night) and crac is with good friends.

Claims to have the highest pub ceiling in the world, and certainly unique, being an old gun powder cellar. Cheerful beer cellar atmosphere. Good beer snacks.

The original house beer (dark) tasted awesome, though had only a few light starters to eat, which were good, too.

Situated behind Tartu Town Hall in the Hillside... Very nice venue for food & a beer or 2!! Took a walk up Toome Hill & enjoyed Autumn colours..Stunning!!!! we then went for lunch, chose potato skin wedges with garlic mayo, tomato & mozerello salad, fried meat dumplings & cheese balls as a tapas type lunch... Delicious Service - Excellent Food... More

We were celebrating our sixth anniversary and everything was excellent and reasonably priced. Food was very good and live entertainment was also very enjoyable ( band called Revolver). But the place, that was the best part, it was incredible and the table we got was one of the best they had. I really do recommend it to everybody. 😍

Great food in a old gunpowder cellar. Highly recommended. Location: a bit hard to find, but worth to find.

On a business trip in Tartu, I went to this restaurant on my own. The restaurant is built into the mountain. Since it can be busy, don't go there if you have little time. Go there if you have time to enjoy the athmosphere. Food is very good and the waitresses very kind. I would recommend anybody to try it.
