Whether it's the food, the drink or the dancing you're visiting Folkklubs for you'll be in for the best treat! Try the honey beer, which is delicious and grandma's meatballs, too.

Every time I visit Riga (fortunately for me that's a lot) I will stop here. This is the place I recommend when people ask me 'where should I visit in Riga?' The food is local style with many craft beers and local wines on offer at a very reasonable price. Staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgable. Every time I... More

The unassuming entrance with pumped heavy metal could easily give the wrong impression of this place. Once you get in and go downstairs the place opens up like a tardis. Beer was flavoursome if a bit gassy (normal for the continent). Didn't eat any food but it looked good.

Certainly an atmospheric location in a vaulted cellar. Reasonable range of food on menu but the soup of the day, which we ideally wanted, had sold out. Chicken liver pate starter was tasty and the potato cakes with bacon were likewise. Had we stopped here then would have awarded 4 star rating for the food but the mains let the... More

Great service once seated but a bit confusing upon arrival. Cheap place with a nice atmosphere to try the local cuisine and probably my favourite of the ones we tried.

Visited post Rugby beers in town on the recommend of a Brit who lived over the river. Group of four, Sat evening hadn't booked; restaurant was very full with a vibrant buzz. Staff found us a table and took drinks order; good selection of craft beers and wine. Dundagas Stroganoff was very tasty, all other dishes reported to be very... More

The first night we couldn't find it, but tried again the next night. The vaulted basement is atmospheric and was very busy. Unfortunately we had already eaten, otherwise we would have tried the food, but we sampled a few beers from their extensive range and all were great. The music was lively and seemed very popular with locals and tourists.... More

The first time we walked in we instantly liked it. Lovely atmosphere, staff all friendly and helpful. Excellent cheap menu with huge portions. Bar menu had lots of choice, cranberry beer was great and great prices. Very popular place but plenty of seats. You can choose to be in the area with live music or in a separate quieter rooms....
