I went for the massage at L Essence Spa and part of their package for 120 mins and above services was a complimentary meal at the L essence restaurant. I am pretty surprised by the standard of the food as I thought it would be usual complimentary item but their services are good and the food was good. I had the orange chicken with green sticky rice.

Absolutely 5 star food and service! Thoroughly impressed by this new restaurant and fine dining menu, especially their high quality in preparation and presentation.
I ordered the orange chicken served on bed of rice, it was my first time and it tasted so exquisite! I would highly recommend the refreshing dance of flavours!
My partner ordered the bun cha and it was served beautifully.
The 3 course meal was included in 2hr spa package with their partnered massage chain l'essence De La Vie Spa - it is the BEST relaxing and luxury experience. Wonderful concept.
Cuong the manager is the cherry on top, making sure everything was prepared when we got to the restaurant located on level 2. For couples and anyone who wants to spoil themselves with one of the finest new establishments in Hanoi!

We tried the couples set and we really enjoyed it. It cost around VND 1,500,000, but it was well worth it. The set consists of a range of dishes, all served in a very eye-catching (and camera appealing) way. We really liked the tastes, as westerners we appreciated that this was not spicy at all, yet very flavourful. The staff was very attentative. The restaurant itself was very quiet and nicely decorated, a nice destination for a touch of luxury. They are freshly open to public, so they are still adjusting, but the staff is very attentive to feedback.

Restaurant is nicely decorated. Tasty food with great presentation.
We ordered set meal for 2 included 2 drinks for 1490K VND which was more expensive than a normal Hanoi restaurant, but well worth it because of high quality.
Staffs' service was excellent, expecially Jennie, she even gave us a 10% off coupon for next visit.
Definitely, we will come back.

We weren't originally going to try this restaurant, but when we booked a spa package at the EXCELLENT L'Essence De La Vie, dinner was included. Walking out of that amazing experience, we had no idea that there was this equally well-decorated restaurant attached to carry on the happy vibes. We had the pho and an impressively -plated mango chicken dish. Both excellent. The owner, Cuong, introduced himself and we had a lovely conversion. They only opened this restaurant one month ago, but the somewhat hidden location send to hinder traffic. I'm happy to help point others this way.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a lovely meal tonight and were attended to to by wonderful staff dressed in traditional Vietnamese dress. The Vietnamese food was delicious and each dish was presented imaginatively. It was so nice to have rice paper rolls made in front of you. The restaurant itself seems rather special but the prices are reasonable. The staff make you feel like treasured clients which does make you want to come back. The staff acknowledged dietary requirements and let us know what our pescatarian could eat. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable mid week dining experience. An added bonus is that there is live traditional music on weekends.

店内の雰囲気も、食事も含めて最高でした。
日本で仮にあるとしたら、赤坂か六本木、丸の内にありそうな店舗です。
個人的には勤務地が丸の内のため、丸の内にいいかなと思います。
日本だったら、一人当たりの単価コースで2-3万円は取れているのかなと思います。
ぜひ東京進出きたいしております。
ハノイに観光よりも、マッサージや食事をメインにした楽しみ方もありかなとここの店舗に来て思いました。
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, as was the food.
If there were to be a restaurant in Japan, it would likely be in Akasaka, Roppongi, or Marunouchi.
Personally, I think Marunouchi would be a good choice since I work in Marunouchi.
If it were in Japan, I would expect to pay 20,000 to 30,000 yen per person for a course.
I would love to expand into Tokyo.
I thought that it might be possible to enjoy Hanoi mainly through massages and meals, rather than sightseeing.

Although the presentations of the food are amazing, the taste doesn’t match the visual appearance. The taste is not any better than less luxury restaurants in Hanoi despite being advertised as a high-end restaurant. We expected a lot more in terms of taste. It was not bad, but it was not excellent. We had dined in other places in Hanoi with excellent service and food, e.g. Essence restaurant, hence it would have been unfair to rate any higher.
Service was very slow at the start of the evening, but later on they managed better. This is only a minor issue since it could have been one of those days. We understand that sometimes it could be unusually busy or things might not just go according to plan.
We really appreciated that they asked for customer feedback at the end of the meal. For our table, there was not any problem in terms of the feedback discussion. The lady apologised for the slow start of the service and offered to remove the service charge. She was very professional.
However, there were two tables around us who were a lot less happy than us. It was not very nice to hear manager trying to argue his way and try to convince them otherwise. I think the best way is to ask people’s opinions as you do, and just thank them. There is no need to spend 15mins discussing with them. We felt a bit awkward witnessing these conversations.

Amazing service and delicious! I ordered the chicken soup and finished it in short order; my friends had the pork vermicelli and vegetarian noodles. The manager Cuong was so welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was so pleasant with live music! I would highly recommend visiting!

Truly a delicious find. We were welcomed with cool towels and candied lotus seeds before we ordered our food. Each dish we ordered was fresh, beautifully plated and delicious. Cuong, the owner treated us to fresh fruit and also taught us how to eat each dish. Definitely recommend.

L’essence de cuisine is a good spot to go for dinner, but I’m not sure it deserves to be ranked as one of the best in Hanoi. I don't specifically have anything bad to say - the food just didn’t blow me away.
The service was very good, the ambience was nice and the presentation of each dish was carefully thought out. However, I don’t believe it should be ranked in the top 5 of the city. I did not feel that the food on the couples tasting menu was that memorable or flavourful enough to justify the price. It was definitely tasty, but not super unique.
They are always looking to improve so I’m sure that this restaurant can work it’s way up to be a top location in Hanoi.

My husband and I were accompanied here for an after dinner massage in their L’Essence Spa. We were arrived with our tables already set up with our choice of menu and dishes were presented beautifully with finesse and knowledge. Mr. Duc the manager, was very attentive and offered more drinks , noodles and even recommended to try the local beer, which we did! Staff were very courteous and professional.Mr. Duc even helped me book a Grab and walked us out to the driver to make sure we got back to our hotel safely . That’s what you call service straight from the heart! Will definitely be back here soon .

Definitely a very good restaurant; not the usual one, on the street. You need to reach the second floor of the building and you will find yourself immersed in a very passionate and great looking environment. The staff was very, very helpful and full of enthusiasm: Lien has welcomed me in the best possible way and guided through a remarkable culinary experience. She has even helped in assembling the frying fish into the vietnamese rolls.
Good food, good people, great location.

The environment is relaxing, chill and grand. Traditional Vietnam food is delicious, fried spring roll is not oily and match with vegetables 😋The staffs are friendly, helpful and they can communicate in English! Highly recommend!

L'essence Restaurant in Hanoi was a nice little find for a lovely family dinner. The service was very welcoming straight away and they explained the set menu and each cuisine wonderfully. The food was delicious and very well presented. Cuong the restaurant manager was so kind and even surprised my mother with a Birthday cake for her 70th which was really special. All the staff were great too. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a real taste of Hanoi and Vietnamese Cuisine.
