Arrived in between lunch time and dinner time. Basically fish and chips only were available. Food was good enough, service was not very good. Nothing special.

We had lunch at the trading rooms on our port day @ Akaroa! The food all tasted delicious! Great kids menu too! My husband ordered second serve of mussels because it was too tasty!! Staffs are lovely!

Excellent food. Very friendly staff especially Nicola and Edina. Beautiful views of Akaroa bay. Particularly recommend the local fish.

An excellent restaurant serving great food in lovely position in Akaroa. It has reasonably comfortable seating, and service is generally good, but can be on the leisurely side when it is busy. There is a good wine list, but the drinks are on the expensive side, as is the restaurant generally. For some reason they do not let you have... More

On our second night in the Akaroa areawe visited the Trading Rooms. It reminded me of a film set in the Old West. The dinner was fine. Nothing to "knock your socks off" but good, large portions, friendly service and nice ambience.

We have enjoyed lunch at the Trading Rooms on our last visit to Akaroa and so headed there for lunch on our recent day trip there. The green lipped mussels served in a creamy sauce were lovely and the grain bread accompanied very good. The service friendly and welcoming - a lovely place to stop to eat outside on a... More

On a tour of Banks Peninsula, we stopped at Akaroa for a cruise of the harbor and needed lunch before the cruise left. After walking the waterfront, we settled on Trading Rooms Restaurant. We weren't expecting much but were quite pleased with the quality of the food.

Visited Akaroa again after 2 years. Our last visited included a dinner at Trading Rooms. We were excited to return... Unfortunately our starters of green lipped mussels and the seafood chowder both disappointed. My wife's seafood chowder contained a rubbery fish - possibly octopus and her prawns were barely cooked at all. The green lipped mussels despite being served in... More

Dear krispa_eighty,

Your comment is indeed very derogatory and very exaggerated.

Firstly, we sincerely apologise about your experience. But we are not here to poison any of our customers at all, so your accusation and or suspicion in your comment subject is quite too mean and not fair specially that our wait staff have checked on your table and you... More

We popped in after getting off our cruise ship to plan our day. The flat white served in a bowl was very good and the blueberry muffin was fresh and fantastic. A perfect start to our visit of Akaroa.

A family meet up in Akaroa for a holiday. Went to the Trading Rooms for dinner. The staff were not at all friendly, and our meal order was wrong! Food was okay, a long wait, very pricey and not much of it! A beautiful restaurant and outside seating, but the food let it down.
