Hidden jewel near Georgetown university. Off the beaten path but a great place to stop by a great sandwich. Try the Peggy's special

I drive across town to get a sandwich or hamburger from Wisey's. They have a fantastic grill and make wonderful sandwiches right before you. I like that they make any custom order for you exatly as you want it. Fast, cheap and cheerful - very good quality always

This is a very small deli/convenience store near Georgetown University. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat if in the area and you don't want to sit-down or deal with all the foot traffic on M Street. Service is fast, food is very good and portions are large without being overwhelming. Good value, especially considering the location.

I ordered the chicken madness and it's just not my style. I don't get the hype. At least the bag of chips and sandwich were cheap. The place was busy so I know my opinion is in the minority.

Classic Georgetown University stomping grounds. The sandwiches here are pretty cheap and made to order. While the Chicken Madness is the most famous choice (and it is delicious), the Hot Chick is absolutely the best thing on the menu. Fried chicken with Muenster, cayenne, tomato, and this incredible parmesan pepper sauce. What's not to like?

That's the signature sandwich. You can't eat it daily and maintain a healthy heart and weight, but it is such a finger-licking good treat. Wise's is a Georgetown tradition. Just don't buy a suitcase of Natural Light like the kids do.

My wife and I were walking around Georgetown and while I was checking out the Exorcist stairs, she found this little gem for lunch. She had the "Chicken Madness" chicken sub (which she really adored) and I had the "Taste of NY" pastrami sub for $7.50 each. Both come with a small bag of chips and a pickle spear. They... More

If you are from Georgetown, than you will know about this spot, because once you taste this sub, you will literally drop Morton's for the evening and come here to eat this beauty. It's an insiders' spot. You really don't get it until you come here, you grab that sub (was made the same way when I was in college... More

Had to lave a plug for Wisemiller's. Quaint little grocery store in the heart of Georgetown. GREAT philly cheese sandwiches, made fresh on the grill. Saw me through many all-nighters!
