Panache was a good restaurant serving tapas over a 12 year period. The restaurant closed its doors on August 31. The location is under renovation and may re-open.

After reading some of the reviews my expectations were lowered, but I found this restaurant to have a ok atmosphere, good service and great food. The tapas were excellent and a reasonable size. The Zucchini purse was the highlight.

Very good place if you stay at the Mayflower hotel. Nice tapas even if the mozzarella just can't match the Italian variant. The lambchops lovely. We had excellent service and nice wine.

We finally found this place right next to the Mayflower on our last night in DC and lucked into the happy hour timing with our kids. We ate a table in the bar area, which is open to the rest of the dining so totally appropriate for kids. There is a sizable list of $5 tapas/salads and $6 wines which... More

This restaurant was across from our hotel so we thought we would give it a try. Go for the Zucchini Purse tapas. They are excellent, but a bit pricey for two. I had the Daily Special Risotto which was excellent. My husband had the Scallop Fettucini which he said was a bit bland. He said that my risotto had more... More

I had four smaller plates for dinner and it was too much food for me, but it was all good, but not great. There's no real atmosphere and its hard to identify a specific type of cuisine. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The bartender was also the part time hostess and also re set the tables.... More

Just 2 blocks north of Farragut Square off Connecticut Avenue, this is a great little restaurant for lunch. My husband was late, so I sipped a Sauvignon Blanc (a bit pricey at $13, however) and ordered prosciutto-wrapped dates--which took over 10 minutes to come. But it was good. The squash soup was good too. The menu is full of cold... More

Selection of small plates perfect for a variety of food but not huge portions. Very reasonable prices for top quality. Had a small steak, salad, gazpacho. Staying at Mayfloer (across the stree) and ate here twice it was so good.

This is a great restaurant tucked away on a side street right in the middle of it all. Went for dinner and had a selection of hot tapas. For dinner we had the shrimp with garlic, petit filet mignon, grilled Portobello mushroom with goat cheese, and grilled vegetables. For dessert we had the crème brulee and raspberry sorbet. All of... I had dinner there. I was not terribly impressed. Portions are small, and the vegetarian offerings are almost nonexistent. Not worth the price, I fear. There are far better restaurants in th earea, is my opinion.
