We ate here after randomly walking past this restaurant after the Women's March on Washington. We had no reservations, the streets were beyond crowded and we were starving - finding a place to eat was not easy. But, even though this restaurant was very busy and they had existing reservations, they worked us in. What a find this place is!... More

Co Co Sala is an ultra-modern style restaurant in Penn Quarter emphasizing chocolate food and drink concoctions, and it has done a good job of integrating this concept into its brunch menu. Brunch can be ordered either as a 3-course prix fix menu or a la carte with sides. The a la carte servings were large enough that I can't... More

I had the privilege of dining at Co Co Sala before a show at Ford's Theater. Co Co Sala's staff was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were creative (try the Jubilee, but drink it slowly). For eats, I had the Aztec Enchilada, which was exquisite with chocolate and cheese bits, guava sauce, and a fresh salad. I will definitely dine... More

A modern room with nice cocktail menu and beautifully plated desserts. Came in for dessert so I cannot speak to the main courses. The desserts were great but definitely engineered with an adult palate in mind. My 12yo kids found the chocolate bitter and not balanced with enough sweets. Lesson: take a date not a kid.

This place has a tapas type food menu that is one of a kind. The drinks are very unique and tasty. We had the ravioli and the tuna tartare. We enjoyed them both. They were a tasty concoction in themselves. Dessert was the Chocolate Onyx and it fixed our chocolate craving. The only downside was the DC pricing.

I love Co Co Sala. I've been there for brunch, drinks, and dinner and it is always tasty with friendly service. The cocktails are fabulous and the fries are the best. While many things are made with chocolate they are not necessarily sweet. Make sure to try a handmade chocolate for the hot cocoa from its store.

Visited here on the recommendation of my son who worked in DC a couple of years ago and kept going on about the best dessert that he had ever eaten. So today we had to try and visit Co Co Sala to test out his claims. No drinks, no food, just three desserts for the three of us - all... More

This seems to be a very trendy spot. I was there with a group of friends, and we shared different appetizers. I know DC is expensive, but these portions were ridiculously small for the price. I will say the "Fetish" cocktail was amazing. It is served with a chocolate covered strawberry. Yum!

Reviewed this a few years back Went back to investigate this famous dessert. Still just as great as before ! Have some very good Mac and Cheese also. Loved this Lychee drink also ! Service was great. I sat at the bar. The 5 stars is for the Onyx. Still good after all these years.
