This is a friendly, busy restaurant that serves Thai style food. The food was rather tasty but very mildly spiced for being Thai food. I would say it is adopted to the American taste and not really authentic. I had roasted duck curry. The taste was distinctively Thai, but it was very mildly spiced for being at red thai curry.... Every year we attend the TRB conference and every year we visit this restaurant which we highly appreciated for their cooking. However this year we were a bit disappointed because some of the dishes really missed the authentic Thai flavours. It is a pity, all dishes tasted a bit the same although we ordered different dishes. It is a pity...maybe... More

After a long drive from Virginia we were hungry for Thai and a quick search pointed us to Royal Thai. Parking can be difficult but the hotel does valet for a price. I was hungry so I wasn't prepared to haggle. The food and environment is relaxed. The other tables seemed to be medical interns and college students and it... More

The ambience and service is good. The thai food choices is varied and the portions is hunged. Most dishes comes with rice. The cost for 4 pax was around US$ 60.

The food is somewhat authentic with a bit of Americanized. When I saw the prices, I thought to myself they were cheap, until I saw the size/portion of the food - they were like individual appetizer/trial size. Don't let the cheap prices fool you! The flavor was decent. It took me a while to get used to the pounding noise... More

It took all of 20 mins to get starters, main and dessert. And, surprise, surprise it was all fresh, healthy and tasty.
