We stopped by as we out and about in town. The have a great selection of seafood at their raw bar. Everyone who sampled seafood thought it was very good and fresh. I had an order of the fried calamari. It was very lightly breaded, fried and seemed to be handcut. The pieces were not your typical rings that come... More

I wouldn't waste my time or money on this place. The décor doesn't match the menu prices..............do they think their a high end steak house? The manager on duty couldn't care less about it's customers or the quality of it's food. Serving a hamburger medium to medium rare isn't expectable and when I sent it back my wife was already... Free flow bloody mary's and mimosas. Food is good but not spectacular and portions are huge. Service is superb and its located right across St. Regis.

Came for the lobster roll. Was definitely a delicious lunch. We also tried the pot pie. It was a huge serving! Very tasty, to the point of not wanting to stop eating, even though we were full. Not the place to go if you're on a budget, but the portions were generous, and the (I'm guessing) homemade chips were addictivly... More

We ate in P.J. Clarke's as a couple on a quiet Thursday night. We had 4 beers 2 cocktails a burger and a lobster roll. Maybe it's me but $120 seems expensive. I can't complain about the service or the food but I felt that for what we had it was overpriced. McCormick and Schmicks is close by and I... More

Superb wine and meal on their outside cafe space. Nice relaxing spot to enjoy weather, sit back, sip wine and just chill. Wait staff was friendly and attentive even though pace was quite brisk for them. Their "roast of the day" short ribs was very good. Well done! Always enjoyable and experience always has me going back.

Miss Tee for the Hyatt Place DC White House location highly recommended this restaurant. Last minute we walked in and asked if they could accommodate a group of 39 kids and adults after a very long cold day of sightseeing. Miss Tee's recommendation was spot on. The manager and his staff were amazing and treated us like kings and queens.... More

At lunch my wife and I had an amazing experience at PJ Clarks. The service was excellent, the food perfection and the overall mood of the restaurant was amazing. So much so that we decided to return for dinner.Unfortunately, the experiences were not similar at all. During dinnner the service was severely lacking, the wine list didn't have in stock the... This review is skewed by the bad attitude of our server. He clearly didn't want to be there. I had the prime rib which was tasty but dry. The accompanying mashed potatoes and broccoli would have been much improved by a little butter or salt. Had the brownie sundae and the brownie was also dry. Not great food and a... More

Description
K Street, the road to the White House, is also the proud home to P.J. Clarke’s—the storied American Saloon with a history that dates back to the late 1800s. The original P.J. Clarke’s in Manhattan has stood beneath rows of skyscrapers for nearly 130 years, collecting famous and infamous regulars. Appreciated for the convivial ambiance and classic fare, P.J. Clarke’s is the quintessential American Saloon.
In our nation’s capitol, the story continues as oak and mosaic floors, red leather banquets and walls lined with eccentric portraits and nostalgic photos contribute to a reassuring familiarity that is classic P.J.s, but also construe a distinct Washington sensibility. Seasoned bartenders make favorite classic cocktails the right way; dexterous shuckers ply the freshest shellfish at a marble topped Raw Bar; and the old-school, convivial dining room welcomes government A-listers, students and their families and visitors to our capitol.
