Saw this one in our Lonely Planet guide and had to give it a go. Delicious quirky flavours of gelato and very friendly staff.

This was a great experience. The gentleman let us try the different flavors before choosing. It was a small cozy place with really good gelato that also served coffee and had a seating area. I had been to Italy a year ago. Having tried gelato in its original home, I could say Dolcezzagelato was excellent. I had and loved the... More

Gelato is very good and very pricey. I had a small cup with 2 different gelatos. It was more than $5.00. The people are pleasant and the gelato is quite good. but I'm not sure it's worth the cost.

I had been living in northern Virginia for the past couple months, which is a veritable good-coffee desert, when I stopped into Dolcezza with friends. Absolutely one of the best cappuccinos I've had in months. I was incredibly impressed. The gelato was decent, too, but this review is all about the espresso!

As an Australian it's hard to find what we consider to be good coffee when travelling in the States. This place was a great find and ticked all the boxes. Real Italian style espresso using quality coffee and skilled baristas. Went back for a second one!

Love their espresso and creamy latte. The grind, weight and pressure applied to the Stumptown coffee produces a concentrated shot with a thick crema. If dessert is what you want...order an Affogato with any flavor gelato. Don't forget to buy a bag of ginger cookies for your special friend or client. Don't get drawn in by SB...walk next door to... We were doing a bit of sightseeing on a hot afternoon and noticed someone eating a cup of very delicious looking Gelato and inquired where we could find the shop and was directed to Dolcezza a small and busy location with tables inside and out.We went in and had a look at a very interesting list of flavors and combinations... As an experienced sorbet taster, I can assure you this is definitely a place to visit if you like trying new flavours. There wasn't an endless selection, so picky eaters beware, but it was local, fresh and the ice creams were delicious. We had pineapple-mint, blueberry-lemon-thyme and coriander-lime. A little expensive, but a great experience. Beware - the flavours change... More
