Well it is certainly a great place to be in. The decor is lovely, from a drink at the bar with good staff and then professionally ushered to the table. The dining room was even better than expected. The art work was a visual splendor. The first course was good but then the wheels fell off and we felt lost.... More

Located in what used to be a large Borders bookshop, this bar/restaurant has a fantastic decoration and ambiance. A large selection of beers is available and the place is great both for dining and for drinks. They serve top sushi. I really love the place.

Got into town late & was looking for a place to eat. Our hotel recommended we walk here. Unbelievably packed at 10:30 on a Friday night. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich & my daughter got the hamilton burger. The menu is huge!!! They even have a sushi bar with a late night HAPPY hour. We stopped in for a... More

Go to The Hamilton if for no other reason than to just see the layout. Two upstairs bars, four dining rooms, 400-feet of windows along 14th and F...wow. We sat at the front bar on a Sunday night and it was very busy with locals and tourists. The bartenders were fast and efficient and wait staff was good (our server... More

The bar upstairs seems like you are with the regulars. It is comfortable and friendly. The staff is very prompt, polite, and gracious. The food is delicious and the drinks especially the Sangria was fantastic.

Wow! The waitress was excellent! I had scollops and they were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. My niece had a pork chop that had a zesty sauce & she kindly let me sample. Superb! Nicely done! Someone had a crab cake and they thought it was great too. I must say that I will dine their again.

I was a little bit worried about the wait for a table when I met a friend here for lunch. Don't worry, she said, the place is huuuuuge. We were quickly summoned to a roomy booth in the "bird" room. The cheerful waiter gave us plenty of time to talk. The turkey burger on a brioche bun was excellent, but... More

My 18 year old daughter & I were visiting the D.C. area to look at colleges. The Hamilton was a brief 6 minute cab ride from our hotel. I ordered shrimp bisque which was delicious, but EXTREMELY hot in temperature. Definitely need it to cool off to eat a drop. Cosmo cocktail was very strong, and as stated on the... More

For our first Easter luncheon away from family, we chose the Hamilton's popular Easter Brunch with Gospel music. It was an unusual experience - food was okay but plentiful, nothing very interesting. The staff servers were very kind and quick to replenish the various dishes. The gospel singers were talented and enthusiastic but the crowd seemed not really paying attention... More
