Three of us. Each got a different serving (Arnold's Special, Pesto, Bleu Cheese). Just great! The sauce is the thing, of course. Served with exceptionally good fries and bread for "sopping up" (could have used more bread but didn't ask). Two of us had a "grapefruit beer". Beer snob here did not, sticking to a lovely dark lager, but tasted... More

We started off with onion rings and a meat/cheese platter. I gotta say, I've only seen a few times where the onion rings were cooked to a delicate yet crispy perfection that the onion broke along with the batter at the same time. In other words, you weren't pulling the onion out of the rest of the batter when all... More

Great selection of mussels of different recipes. Other things besides mussels for non seafood eaters. Good beer selection. Very cool atmosphere. Nice place to go with friends. Good waitstaff, very attentive. Right off Connecticut Avenue just past the zoo. Well worth the time for a light meal or a cold beer!

Went for meal with a group (total of 6). Seating was a little tight for our group, but cozy. (The table of two next to us might not agree!) Great beer selections and something for everyone on the menu, although to be fair, it's the mussels you should go for. We shared a portion of the mussels St. Arnold- the... More

There are probably 20 different ways you can get a pot of mussels at St. Arnold's and the several ways that I've tried have all been outstanding. I particularly like the chipotle mussels, but all of the flavors I've ordered (or sampled from friends) have been great. They have an $11 special for mussels at lunch, and you can add... More

The food at St. Arnold's was wonderful- we shared several delicious orders of mussels and frites in a tavern-like atmosphere. I really wanted to try the Belgian waffles for dessert, but unfortunately our waiter abandoned us and we left without dessert.

We had to leave our originally chosen restaurant because of awful service. Checked out St. Arnold's, across the street This is a good, fun, very reasonably priced bar/restaurant. Elena was our server and she was great. Annette, the GM, came over to introduce herself - nice touch. Excellent mussels. Meatloaf very good. Frites and dessert Belgian waffle were both outstanding.... More

This was a great place. The mussels were very good. Try the French onion soup. The outdoor seating was perfect. The service was very efficient.

Large range of traditional style mussels to more creative selection of sauces - something for everyone! Cosy street side atmosphere. Today the weather was great and the rolling door style windows were open so it was a nice fresh environment. Large selection of beers to go with the mussels.

St. Arnolds is a Belgian Bar. It is European in the food they serve (great) and it is European in the service they offer (terrible). We had the crostini with olive tapenade (not good), Mussels (great), French Fries and Beer. The Mussels and bread were delicious, but the waiter forgot about our order and it took forever to finally get... More
