Where to begin?! We love this place for its small plates and adventurous dishes! Definitely recommend and if you go with a group you can pretty much order everything on the menu!

Unfriendly service, bad decor, very average food. No reservation accepted, when you call they encourage you to come but once you get there they ask you to wait 45 minutes even if you can see free tables. Bad service

Unassumingly located on V Street, this is a must for lovers of Japanese food! Decor is in keeping with Japanese style of simplicity and functionality. Upstairs seating for approximately 20 persons, it is close seating but comfortable. The food is delicious with great selection of...More

We always stop by here when nearby. Love the fish color, grilled smelt, scallop carpaccio, and great selection of Japanese liquors.

If your understanding of Japanese food starts with teriyaki and ends with sushi, prepare to be amazed. This quiet restaurant is much closer to a true Japanese Izakaya than anything I've found in the States. The menu is small, usually a few raw options, some...More

My husband and I accidentally stumbling upon this little hidden gem. We sat at "sushi bar", not exactly since they don't serve sushi. We arrived on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm and just in time as we sat down, the crowd starts to form and...More

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night. They open at 5 pm and we came at 5 pm worried it would be packed since they do not take reservations. You don't really have to worry about getting a table. We order a few things...More

This a pleasant busy place to eat. The food was excellent and not overly westernised. The fish oysters and pork were excellent with thought and care taken in presentation and the flavours utilised. Not being an expert in this type of cuisine I might have...More

Hi-- I was hoping you could tell me if you have gluten-free options. I have Celiac Disease, which means I will get sick if I eat gluten-containing foods (anything with wheat--including most soy sauces, barley, bulgur, semolina, spelt, rye, farina, most oats, etc.) or foods that have a high risk of cross-contamination with gluten (things that are fried in the same oil as foods battered with flour or breadcrumbs, for example). Grains such as rice, corn, teff, tapioca, and millet are fine. I know this can be difficult to accommodate and understand if you cannot make any suggestions, but I was hoping to check either way. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Many restaurants say if they have gluten free options. I would first search for vegan and vegetarian places as those are the types of places that would make the effort to be gluten free on certain dishes. For example... More
