Visited on a Tuesday for lunch. The lunch time special is good value for money but the establishment does not do anything for me. The food is acceptable but there is no wow and you get the feeling it is mass produced. They take 'no thrills' to a new dimension. If you are in to basic bar-b-a and 'spit and... More

Solid BBQ - but nothing worth going out of your way for. Smoked on-site, bit higher prices than what's worth it. They now have a dining room - did not used to before.

Visited the Arlington location on a weekday night. Good parking, friendly bar & barman, but the BBQ was just So-So. First visit, so cannot tell if the food was having a bad day, but overall was underwhelmed.

Some of the best BBQ in the country. Need I say more. Terrific pulled pork and stupendous ribs. I could drink their sauce and always have a bottle at home. A national landmark.

Rocklands deserves more than just "Average" but less than a "Very Good." Their selection of BBQ, meats and sides was great, along with a good selection of craft beers. Their BBQ tended to be a little bit on the dry side and a tad saltier than I like, but it still tasted very good. The atmosphere is very casual and... More

Rocklands does it right. Smoked pork prepared how you like. Tender and juicy. Today, had the Rocklands Pearl, a bowl with Mac n cheese in the bottom, baked beans in the middle and luscious pork on the top. Eat in communal style or carry out. Hand cut fries to share and peanuts already at the table. If one has not... More

Stumbled upon this awesome place and had a craft beer and BBQ sandwich that was very good! Got 5 free wings for buying a beer. They have specials each day. Will be back!

Excellent bbq in Georgetown, on our third visit. They've expanded, but improved in quality. Straightforward and flavourful at a good price, with well put together combo platters for lunch. Brisket particularly good. Even bought the t-shirt.

Sorry Rocklands but the huge take out for a dinner party was not your best. We had two whole chickens, 4 slabs of ribs and a 1lbs of Italian sausage - dry. Not bone dry but overdone and some slabs were too bony. Sauce good but not the usual very good overall. Sides just ok.

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids-14, 12) had dinner at Rocklands. We had 2 brisket sandwiches that came with 2 sides and a slab of ribs that came with 2 sides. The night we were there they offered free pulled pork sliders with a bar purchase. The brisket is just average and the ribs are barely average. As... More

We've been serving our wood-only barbeque to loyal DC-area fans since 1990. The story starts before that, though: John Snedden started barbequeing whole pigs when he was in college. (Aren't we all glad he changed his plans and did not become a doctor?)
