We always visit DC for Thanksgiving and the last 2 years enjoyed their sister restaurant Rasika for our celebration, but this year we decided to try something different for a change. We actually enjoyed the décor and the ambience of Bombay Club a bit more, as it is a little quieter and more , well, clubby. The food was very... More

Stopped in Bombay Club with a friend after a holiday event downtown. We had no reservation, but since it was early evening, no problem getting a table. Be prepared for a very formal, almost stiff upon entry. Coat check is required, and there are lots of flourishes from the wait staff. Ordered the lamb kebabs, mushroom kofta, eggplant, and another... This restaurant declined to take my baby. After i went inside the restaurant, the manager named naresh israni looked me from top to bottom. He asked how many people. I said 3 people coz i have a yellow skin, he the said no stroller inside the restaurant. He declined to take my baby as customer. He refused to give me... More

We had Thanksgiving dinner here. Excellent service and food. Great location. After dinner we walked to the White House.

Daughter's graduation at the nearby Lisner Auditorium (George Washington U.), the Bombay is an easy walk away a few blocks east, so it straddles the college neighborhoods to the west (with Georgetown a bit further west) and the mall and the federal complexes just to the south. I had emailed the Bombay about bringing a very special bottle of champagne... More

Close location to the Mall. Fine dining experience with a large staff and white table clothes. We really expected a lot based on the location and history of the restaurant in DC. The naan in the bread basket was tasty and did not disappoint. The entrees were good, but not exceptional. We tried the Malai chicken tikka which was very... More

It's not completely authentic but the service is accommodating at this old standby just near the White House. The lamb vindaloo was sufficient spicy and the paneer tikka was also quite good. The food is nicely presented and the waitstaff are pleasant and efficient without being obtrusive.

After a long day of touring, we quenched our craving for Indian food at Bombay Club. Because we came in dressed casually, we started out feeling kind of out of place, and rushed to a table in the back, next to the bar window. We knew they actually catered to a more upscale clientele, but by the time we left,... More

Very professional and great food they served. Tried their lamb and chicken, superb and taste really really good. And end dinner with their ice cream which I forget what it's called, taste exactly what I wanted. Thumbs up and will definitely recommend friend . Very good or probably the best Indian food in D.C.

We had their plated tray with seafood which was good. Its an upscale place where you have to dress up, be pampered and savor Indian cooking. This place is authentic and never disappoints. The decor is British Colonial and upscale. Try the brunch buffet with unlimited champagne which is reasonable
