I have been visiting this bistro since it opened 17 years ago. The neighborhood has seen many of its restaurants come and go, and the food scene migrate east, to 14th and beyond, but this place, among a few other stalwarts, remains a food safe...More

France come to DC! The mussels are the best I have ever had. Each bucket has great flavors, fresh mussels, and more than you can really eat. A small bucket will do! The buzz is very fun, the staff is very french.

The best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. It has the general feel of a French cafe. but it's a French cafe with no baguettes. The bread is shaped like a baguette, but it has the consistency of Wonder Bread. The food (field greens...More

This is a very noisy place. The sound level is deafening when the place is packed. With fewer people it is at least bearable. Their specialty is the mussels, which are pretty good, served Belgian style with fries. The chicken was nice; the lamb stew...More

I enjoyed my meal. I had the aveyronnaise in a creamy sauce. It had mushrooms duck and gizzards. The service is kind of a free for all. Sharpen your elbows as everyone is sitting on top of one another. Nice cocktail selections and very lively...More

Simply put, great food and great service. Will definitely eat here again on our next trip to DC. My only complaint is that the sliding doors were closed when it was 80 degrees and dry outside!

We stopped at Bistrot Du Coin on a Monday after having finished with some business which needed to be taken care of at Dupont Circle. At the time, the sign at the door said closed and that they would open at 12:00 noon, but it...More

Description
Bistrot du Coin opened its doors on Memorial Day of 2000 by Yannis Felix and Michel Verdon. The motto is French, Fun and Friendly, this is our guideline to bring you the best experience ever at Bistrot Du Coin. The word Bistrot is defined in French as a neighborhood restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. The typical color of a French Bistrot is pale yellow to brown (otherwise known as Bistre) because the walls used to get dirty quickly from nicotine. Bistrot Du Coin is also known for its parties, three times a year to celebrate famous French events such as Bastille day on July 14th, The Beaujolais Nouveau on the third thursday of November or The New Year's Eve.
