Made brunch reservations here. We ended up getting the burger. Not a lot of selection on the menu but the burger was pretty dang good!! And the fries were super crispy. We got $4 poinsetta mimosas and they were delish too! Pleasant surprise.

I recently celebrated, with a party of 15, a family member’s college graduation brunch at the Beacon Bar and Grill. There are several separate dining rooms on multiple levels at this establishment. I was impressed both with the quality of the food as well as...More

We chose Beacon because of the sky bar. It was pretty busy up there, but not too crazy that we couldn’t find seats. There was a DJ and it seemed like a great place...except it’s not really happy hour if you can’t get a drink....More

Pork - overcooked. Burgers - overcooked. We asked for extra pitas with our appy dips; they brought them with the main course (after the dips had been cleared) and charged us $2.00! The fries were good and the pasta was tolerable. I would not return.

Blindly picking a place va Open Table led us here. Nearly empty at 7pm on a Thursday wasn’t a good sign. Sure enough, there was a distinct lack of ambience, and it was chilly enough to keep my coat on. Expensive menu....the food wasn’t awful,...More

I stayed at the Beacon Hotel and dined in their restaurant twice. The first time was for happy hour where I was thoroughly unimpressed. My first two drinks were free as a result of receiving complimentary drink coupons as a perk from the hotel, but...More

The atmosphere was romantic, my favorite booth seats. The service was grand. This was restaurant week and you could have anything on the menu. We both had complimentary wine with our meal. For appetizers, I had the tuna tartar and my husband had the Senate...More

I took my team here recently for lunch. We were looking to try a new restaurant and hadn't been. I had the kale salad. The kale hadn't been marinated and it was crunchy and bitter. The salad looked fantastic in the menu but had little...More

Designer Walter Gagliano second visioning of BBG introduced a fresh, and romantic feel to BBG. Vermeer’s portrait of “Girl with a Pearl Earring” was the muse leading to creating the new look. “Our original goal was to bring the space to a cleaner more contemporary vibe, when we discovered the over scaled Vermeer print , originally created by Philipe Stark was on the market, our fondness for bold romanticism found expression and led our fabric and lighting choices in a different direction" stated Mr. Gagliano. Chef Steven Hunter introduces a new menu complementing the new look with his own re-interpretation of classic American comfort foods that are stimulating to the palate and eye, Chef Hunter states: “We produce our own charcuterie and fresh signature sausages from organic meats, ninety percent of our fish are sustainably raised or caught in the Chesapeake Bay area. ”We are committed to support local producers, who are dedicated to environmentally, sustainable agriculture.”
