This is a neighborhood Tex-Mex place, with some South American dishes. Recently hosted a dinner party in the basement level and staff treated us great. Food won't win any awards, but the average family looking for enchiladas, fajitas, etc., will find it to be what they are expecting. Pitchers of margaritas were sadly quite weak.

I loved this place. It's a small intimate place (aka hole in the wall), and the food was delicious. We had chicken enchiladas and spinach quesadillas. Before the meal, we enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa - and it was the best salsa I've had in years. My family are salsa snobs and this one was delicious - seemed very... More

The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere is of a small cozy restaurant with great margaritas. Very reasonable prices. It's said to be Mitch McConnell's favorite spot with his wife, Elaine, but don't let that stop you.

When you come here, you have to accept this place for what it is -- a hole in the wall mexican joint, with good food, great prices and free shots following the meal. This place achieves what is definitely needed in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, somewhere friendly and comfortable, with good service, that isn't fancy and is good for most... More

Definitely satisfied my craving for good mexican food. I didn't survey the menu much, but went with a recommendation by a friend who has been going to the restaurant for 18 years! Highly recommend, and the margaritas were awesome.

We tried this place during our recent visit to DC. All 10 of us enjoyed our food. We liked that they used shredded beef in their tacos instead of ground beef. The prices were good. Service was good. No complaints.

Wanted to like this place. But it is not above average. Two of us had dinner on a recent Tuesday night. One of us had the chicken fajitas. Bland, with only a few small pieces of chicken. Definitely would not order again. Other person had the shrimp appetizer. She liked it. Then we split fried ice cream. Again, nothing special.... More

We ate here for lunch after a tour of the Library of Congress. We were tired and hungry and the menu looked good. First of all, the service left something to be desired. Our waiter was very iinattentive and slow. We ordered beer, and it was served warm. There is nothing worse at a Mexican restaurant than having hot beer!... More

It's not just about a meal, we dine out for the experience. For what they charged, the premium margarita made an impression that it was small. Sometimes, it can be small but very good - this was small. The chips were good but the salsa was lifeless. I asked for something hot and got a bottle of hot sauce. I... More

A short walk from out hotel we highly enjoyed our dinner here. Not flash, but good value. With two adults and a child we had a couple of drinks and mains for $60 plus tip. Definitely recommended for a satisfying, good value dinner out.
