We went for dinner and stayed longer than we thought. We spent more than we had planned, but it was all worth it. The food was really good: a great onion soup and crab cakes, the slow roasted steak was large and meltingly tender, and...More

We had a lovely dinner at Martin’s Tavern. The only thing that keeps me from giving it five stars is that it is very crowded. They crammed in a large party right beside our booth and the men who sat there pushed their seats all...More

We went there as tourists but were treated as regulars. Great bartender (Stanley), good drinks. Had fab mussels and crab cakes. May be a little cramped for some but sitting at the bar was fine. Lots of history there.

At Martin's Tavern, every sitting president from Truman to G.W. Bush has dined. Ask your server to point out the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie.
