This was their last day. It will become a sports bar! Some staff moving to Le Tomate across Connecticut Ave., which will pick up some Greek items on their menu. Same owners.

The hotel concierge recommended this Greek restaurant. I had the crab pie appetizer which was enough for my meal and my husband had the lamb chops. Both dishes were delicious and the pita bread was excellent and made fresh on site.

Nice and cozy, I was there recently with my friend. In an area of DC which is very busy with tourists, it would have not been my first choice. I was however pleasantly surprised. We had a meal made of multiple appetizers for two: Symposium dips, octopus, sesame-crusted haloumi cheese. It was delicious and almost more than we could handle... More

We enjoyed the warmed calamari with green olives and herbed flat bread as an appetizer. The light red wine (Greek) was quite nice. The salads were just fine (arugula with pear and tomato, cucumber, and feta) but Too Large for first course salads. It took much energy to consume even 2/3. The moussaka and lamb with orzo were good but... More

The experience takes one back to the old world with foods that are creative and authentic. The host greeted us at the front door as if we we were dear friends that had traveled a long distance. The dining area is inviting with tables that overlook the busy shopping street. The menu is limited and does not follow the same... More

We had dinner here with friends and really enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. The staff was exceptionally nice and the food was delicious. Two menu highlights were the kavouropita (appetizer) and their dessert menu. Enjoy!

Nice restaurant sandwiched in a row of interesting restaurants and places near Dupont Circle. The food is superlative. I had the moussaka which was everything I had imagined it to be. My husband had chicken which he said was excellent, it came nestled innovatively next to a "nest" of fine strands with cheese buried in it and glazed with honey... More

This restaurant was SUPERB! Excellent, authentic Greek cuisine with an intimate atmosphere. Crispy phyllo pockets (appetizer - hortopitakia), brine cheese (kypriako haloumi me sousami) and the symposium spreads (especially the spicy hummus) were DIVINE! For desserts, Aspasia's Ecstasy may sound disgusting on the menu (strawberries with olives?!?), but it was a spectacular end to the meal!! Wait staff and host... More

Made a reservation here for 4 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff were especially gracious; one in our party lives with diabetes and was beginning to feel low blood sugar after a very long day, so we asked for bread right away, before ordering drinks or anything else, and the waiter brought it immediately. Really good, hot, pita! We shared... More

Delicious food. The menu has a wide variety from traditional to modern takes on Greek food. The service was excellent and our server knowledgeable about the area as well as their menu. A great location street side, a treat to find such fine food in neighborhood restaurant.
