I have been going to Beck since it opened and the most satisfying factor is that it is consistently good and very satisfying. I go there mostly for the mussels which they masterfully fix five different ways, each with their distinct flavors and spices, in very generous portions and accompanied by to-die-for Belgian frites of course. This time I had... More

On a recommendation, the wife and I visited the Brasserie Beck. We were seated left of the main entrance behind a tall wall. Couldn't see much of anything at that point except for the table next to us. Waiter was a stuffy guy who really didn't make eye contact at all. Always felt like we were wasting his time. We... More

When our friends recommended making a reservation for this place on Saturday night, my husband and I were skeptical. The menu looked not only pricey, but very hearty with ingredients that we usually don't dabble in. We stepped outside of our comfort zone though and OMG: The $181 we spent was once in a lifetime worth it. (Although now we... More

Lovely restaurant in downtown D.C. We dined here as a party of four and had a wonderful table in the back room. It seemed to be a bit more quiet there which worked well for us to talk and visit together. We enjoyed some wine and beer and chose a combination of seafood and steak dinners. Each member of our... 3 courses for a ridiculous price! WE had delicious mussels in a cream garlic sauce followed by the trout by my wife & I had the chicken sausage and cabbage amongst other plated items. All outstanding and fresh. Desserts were a panna cotta tarte. Just go!

My wife and I had heard good reviews about this restaurant, and we decided to try it on restaurant week with some friends. We were very happy with the service and food was delicious. The portions were small and my dessert, the chocolate cake, was not good.

Business dinner; enjoyed the beef selections, outstanding quality and preparation. Beer list extensive - be sure to ask if you aren't confident in your selection. Service solid. Atmosphere gets loud as most popular locations do.

Asked for a quiet table--got it! We were looking for Belgian inspired food--mussels, frites, seafood, etc-got it! Hoping for professional, efficient service--got it! It was a fantastic dinner at a quality establishment & we highly recommend it!

My wife and I had a family dinner here the night before our daughter's wedding. All the food was excellent. We came for the mussels and they were great, as was everything we ordered. Service was polite, welcoming and professional. Good selection of beers and wines.
