Just like my mama made it. Food fresh not commercial. There is beer or wine if you would like. There is never an empty glass of any beverage at the table. The service is fantastic just like the food!

There were 6 of us on motorcycles and all were very hungry. A storm the night before delayed our arrival by a few hours and we missed by having dinner. We all went in at once, and they had no problem with taking care of us. The service was excellent and the food was even better. You can bet if... More

Nice, clean, friendly staff. Good place to eat breakfast or lunch ( I have never eaten dinner there, but is probably good ,also). Nothing fancy just good food at decent prices. Would not hesitate to eat here anytime I am in the neighborhood.

Four buddies on a 5 day motorcycle trip ate here, twice. Staff were "super" friendly and the food was tasty and served hot. They have a great "homemade" pie list. We would definitely eat here again!!!!

Found this place for breakfast when driving through Alpine going south on Coronado Trail / Rt 191. What a cool place. Customers seemed to be mostly locals and visiting hunters and motorcyclists. Had their breakfast skillet (hash browns, eggs, green chiles, onion, ham, cheese. It was phenomenal. Great coffee. Service was prompt and professional. Great authentic ambiance, decorated with local... More

We enjoyed this restaurant so much! The pub area, the service, the decorations and quotes and the restaurant area were just fantastic!

While visiting in the area we ate twice at the Bear Wallow. The food was good with generous portions. For dinner my husband ordered roast beef and I got a grilled chicken breast. He liked his meal. My chicken was very greasy. I also got a side salad, and wished I'd gotten the salad bar. We also went for lunch... More

A must stop if you are in the area. If you want to visit an area rather than be a tourist, drop in for a meal and a visit. The staff is friendly, the food good, and you can learn a little about the area just sitting there. Lots to see on the walls. Leave your phone in the car.

The folks were friendly and welcomed us when we entered. Service was prompt, the food was like home cooking. There are not a lot of choices in town for dinner and they all close up early. They have homemade pies, we talked the woman who made the pies.

Cozy, family friendly place with a well rounded menu, has a fair quality salad bar. Took a few too many minutes to be offered a menu. Lunch companion and I had a cheese crisp, cheeseburger & fries. Important tip: numerous signs stating 'no cell phones'. Overall impression: great place to go for lunch or a cup of cocoa on a... More
