Long time favorite hang out with fresh food and great wines. Now jazz brunch on Sundays with cool music and local art. Always fun, friendly whether alone or with friends. A real Albany landmark and secret hideaway...perhaps not for long.
Stopped at Marie's for lunch. Always thought this restaurant was a place to go for a good glass of wine. So I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of lunch items. The food was delicious and the list of wines on the board was outstanding....More
We eat here several times a year. It's one of our favorite local go-to's on Solano Ave. We often split a salad, which are generous. My wife often makes a meal out of sides. I will usually order a vegie option, but I've also had...More
Four of us dined there Sunday evening. Waitress was very pleasant and efficient and we were excited about revisiting our favorite menu from years past. We all enjoyed the simple green salad with cherry tomatoes in lemon viniagrette. Three of us ordered the roast duck...More

Britt-Marie's is a real Berkeley restaurant (even though it's in Albany). You can dress up or not. They have a nice old-world atmosphere and consistently good food. It's been here for many years without going away or changing much, and I find that comforting. Prices...More
The menu seldom changes very much at Britt Maries. That is a plus if you get a hankering for Hungarian Goulash or Spanakopia, etc. The atmosphere is "neighborhood" with an integrated bar and restaurant. It's a good choice for a cold night.
