The food was good the service was SLOW. It seems that they did not expect the late business and did not have enough staff 7:30 p.m. Braised beef rib was good and the risotto was excellent. The price was $$$ for the meal and service.

Staying at a hotel a block away and decided to try it out. The outside looks clean and contemporary. Spent a couple hours here watching games at the bar. Had a few appetizers which were all good and the beer selection was great. Tried the house Old Fashion and Rob Roy, both were good and the bartenders both knew what... More

Sunday lunch in Monrovia must be a busy time for restaurants. After several attempts at some regular spots, with waiting listing of 20 minutes plus, we decided to give this new kid in town a try. And, wow, they are awesome! From the quick seating to the first contact with service to the delivery of our orders, we were very... More

We were greeted by a friendly hostess and our waiter was very nice. However, the atmosphere was missing a spark. The food we ordered was marginal and we did not eat most of it. We are hoping our experience was out of character for the establishment. It has lots of potential to be a great place to watch sporting events.

38 Degrees is a good place to go if you are a beer snob concerned about beer/food pairings and a wide range of choice of beers. Interesting appetizers and lots of screens for sports aficionados.

The Spaghetti Squash dinner is outstanding! Cooked just right and very flavorful. The roasted garlic in it adds wonderful flavor to this dish. It's not listed as gluten free on the menu but my wife who is very careful about her GF diet had no issues with it. I ordered the Tempura fish which also was great. Two large pieces,... More

My experience with 38 Degrees is confined to lunch and take out. Being a total cheeseburger freak I have frequently ordered the sliders. I find these minis lacking in flavor. They tend to be a bit overcooked and are served with a thin veneer of 1000 Island and a drizzle of onion. My remedy - order them to go, add... More

Stopped in on a Friday night after a movie. The good news, easy walking distance from the theater. Bad news, loud, really loud. Can't hear the person across the table from you loud. As for the food, the burgers are excellent. Have the Backyard Burger tonight. Huge. Fresh bun, juicy burger. Cooked just as I ordered. The beer selection is... More

One of my favorite bar. Bartenders are super cool and they know their craft! Lots of seating and TV for sports fans. The music isn't overly loud and they play good tracks. Love the thirty eight burger!!

so I was at their door at 4pm opening on a Monday and I was not the first customer, a party of three ahead of me. I ordered and enjoyed their Broiled Atlantic Salmon with long Chinese beans. Presentation perfect and it was delicious. Their art on walls is interesting mix of paintings from abstract to classical. Happy hour runs... More
