We recently chose Cafe Orleans for my husband's birthday, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience! The Monte Cristos are the same here as at the Blue Bayou but for a fraction of the price, and they are sold for lunch AND dinner as opposed to Blue Bayou, where you can only find the famous sandwiches for... We went, super excited to eat at this well reviewed restaurant. The chicken gumbo crêpe I read so much about was dry and tasteless. The gumbo was more like a gravy with rice than actual gumbo. The steak sandwich special was served with mushrooms and lots and lots of onions which was not in the description. The only decent food... More

Outdoor dining in New Orleans Square. Same Monte Cristo's as the Blue Bayou. This is one of my favorite places to eat in the park. French onion soup is tasty and they have a variety of salads as well.

This is the first time I've eaten here and I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food is here. Since I'm an Annual Pass holder, I've been to most of the eating places at both parks and Downtown Disney, and this was one of the better ones. I was a little put off by the prices, but when... as the name suggests, this restaurant is situated in New Orleans Square. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, we had the outdoor, with a great view of the Mark Twain. Their signature dish is the Monte Cristo which is huge, so we shared this dish. Excellent, and the CM was not surprised that we wanted to share, lots do... More

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Café Orleans! I was just expecting overpriced so-so park food. Yes, my Monte Cristo cost $20 but it was much more than just a sandwich! It was like a sandwich and beignet marriage and very tasty! I wanted to order beignets for dessert but I didn't need to! It also came... More

We went to Disneyland on a cold and rainy day. We were seated outside, which was okay, they were busy. We ordered our drinks, and they have the Mint Julep, so I obviously had to get that, even if it was freezing. The Gumbo helped immensely in warming us all up and it was delicious. Definitely get the Gumbo. I... More

This place is a gem in New Orleans Square! First off, if you know you want to eat here, make reservations so you don't have to stand around waiting when you're hungry (seems like there's always a line!). We always prefer to sit outside on the patio (people watching!). The Pommes Frites are the most delicious garlic fries, and they... More
