Two of us for dinner. Total bill $21 without drinks. This is not fine dining, but good tasting Chinese food... and lots of it. Obviously family run. Friendly. Attentive. Cook is the dad - he cooks, serves, chats up the guests. We'll be back.

The Far East Chinese Restaurant in Angels Camp,CA was a nice and inviting place to have dinner out of the rain. We(my husband & I) were greeted with friendliness and seated by a helpful waitress. We chose individual plates: 1) pawns & pea pods and 2) broccoli beef that were accompanied by pork fried rice and chicken chow mien, soup,... More

Great tasting oriental food. Lunch specials are plentiful servings and inexpensive. Staff are mostly typical people you find in a family owned restaurant, attentive but, busy.

The place was decent as well as the food. The menu was a little confusing. I really don't like pork fried rice and that's all the fried rice they offered. The Peking Beef was so good! Other than that, I would say just average or below average. I have had better Chinese Food before. The service was ok. They seemed... More

This is my go-to for the luncheon combo served before 3pm. We always order "no MSG" and they comply. Good, standard Chinese food. Great friendly staff.

On our way back to your hotel after a long day of cutting trees, we stopped at Far East for some take out. Service was fast, the host was personable and the Schweaun Beef was the best. Super tender beef, and fresh, crispy vegetables. Even the fortune cookies were crispy. Will definitely go back.

The very best thing here was that the egg rolls were really fresh, so often they taste like they have been in the freezer and for too long, these were perfect, crisp and fresh. The rest of our meal was fairly on par with most Chinese restaurants, service was good and prices reasonable.

We eat here frequently as it is our first choice in the area for Chinese food. They have an extensive menu, and you can order almost anything a la carte or as part of a dinner. On our most recent visit there were six people at the table and we ordered Honey Walnut Prawns, Cashew Chicken, Moo Shoo Pork, Pot... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this little family run place. The prices were amazingly low, especially for the area, and the food and service were excellent. We had the crab rangoons to start and they were really good. For our meals we had General Tso's chicken and the beef with broccoli. Large portions and great taste on both. We also... More

Stopped here after a visit to the Angels Camp Museum. This was a good place to stop if you like oriental food. The decor was the usual. The wait staff were extra attentive and helpful. Food was good, spiced to taste, and they are FAST!

Thank Sharon G
